Description: Packers wideout Randall Cobb (ankle) is listed as probable for Saturday's game against the Vikings.
Insight: Cobb missed Week 17 against those same Minnesota Vikings but likely would have played if it was a must-win game for the Packers. Jordy Nelson (knee) is also probable so Green Bay might have all of its top four receivers healthy for Sunday, but Cobb is as safe a play as any of them.

Description: Packers wideout Randall Cobb, who missed Sunday's game because of an ankle injury, was a full participant in Tuesday's practice.
Insight: If Cobb had played on Sunday, there's a good chance he would have recorded his first 1,000-yard season (he finished the year with 80 receptions for 954 yards). Even with Jordy Nelson back from a injury, Cobb should still see plenty of targets this week against the Vikings.

Insight: If Cobb had played on Sunday, there's a good chance he would have recorded his first 1,000-yard season (he finished the year at 954 yards). Even with Jordy Nelson back from a hamstring injury, Cobb should still see plenty of targets this week against the Vikings.

Description: Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports Green Bay wide receiver Randall Cobb will miss Sunday's game versus Minnesota because of an injured ankle.
Insight: This announcement elevates James Jones to a must-start Sunday against a mediocre Vikings secondary (20th in yards allowed).

Description: Packers receiver Randall Cobb, who is dealing with an ankle injury, will go back on return duty when healthy, according to coach Mike McCarthy.
Insight: Cobb has already set a Green Bay single season all-purpose yards record with 2,342, including 954 receiving through Week 16. He's a huge part of the Packers' offense and that includes all his punt and kickoff return yards. He would be severely missed if out of the lineup.

Description: Packers receiver Randall Cobb, who left Sunday's game with an ankle injury, appears to have avoided any broken bones, though an MRI will likely be done to rule out ligament damage as well.
Insight: Cobb had 62 yards receiving and a touchdown against Tennessee and 2,342 all-purpose yards including 954 receiving on the season. He's a huge part of the Packers' offense and would be severely missed if out of the lineup.

Description: Packers receiver Randall Cobb left Sunday's game with an ankle injury.
Insight: Cobb had 62 yards receiving and a touchdown on three receptions prior to exiting and likely won't return with Green Bay leading Tennessee 55-0.

Description: Packers wideout/return man Randall Cobb was limited in Wednesday's practice. We know of no injuries and suspect it's simply some added rest.
Insight: Cobb had his second consecutive 100-yard receiving game with six catches for 115 yards against Chicago. He has been a huge surprise this season, taking advantage of injuries to Greg Jennings and Jordy Nelson to post 77 catches for 892 yards and seven touchdowns through Week 15. He's also rushed for 132 and has 1,217 return yards. He leads the NFL in all-purpose yards.

Description: Randall Cobb led Green Bay in receiving Sunday with 74 yards on nine catches.
Insight: He hauled in the game-winning touchdown on a 22-yard strike from Aaron Rodgers with a minute and 55 seconds remaining in the game. It was Cobb's sixth touchdown in his last four games. At this point, we'd consider the second-year receiver a must-start.

11/4/2012 2:25:00 PM
Description: Green Bay receiver Randall Cobb suffered a head injury returning a punt in the second quarter of Sunday's game versus the Cardinals. He's been taken to the sidelines for concussion tests.
Insight: Cobb already has two touchdown grabs and 23 receiving yards for the Packers as they lead Arizona 14-7. Cobb didn't look too shaken up after the play so Green Bay probably took him out as a precaution. We're guessing he'll be back on the field for the second half.

10/28/2012 12:39:00 PM
Description: Packers wideout Randall Cobb should continue to get plenty of opportunities in Week 8, both as a receiver and out of the backfield. The Packers' two top receivers, Greg Jennings and Jordy Nelson are both inactive.
Insight: Cobb is being used very similar to the manner the Vikings use Percy Harvin. He is averaging 11.8 ypr on 37 catches and 22.3 ypc on three rushes. He's also averaging 11 yards per punt and 27.3 yards per kickoff.

10/23/2012 2:29:00 PM
Description: Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel said he expects the Packers to continue to explore new ways for Randall Cobb to get the ball, especially after running back Alex Green struggled running the ball Sunday.
Insight: Cobb caught eight passes for 89 yards and two touchdowns in Week 7 and has 26 receptions for 339 yards over his last four games. Silverstein said Cobb will likely see more plays out of the back field starting this week. He's a must-start receiver in all formats.

Description: Packers wideout Randall Cobb hauled in a pair of touchdown catches Sunday against St. Louis.
Insight: Cobb has recorded 80-plus yards in each of his last three games. He's been a consistent source of offense for Green Bay in Greg Jenning's absence. Look for him to have another successful outing next week against Jacksonville.

10/15/2012 10:08:00 AM
Description: Jordy Nelson and James Jones got most of the glory but Randall Cobb remained an important part of the Green Bay offense Sunday against Houston.
Insight: The second-year wideout snagged a season-high seven catches for 102 yards in the blowout win. Jones seems to be getting all the touchdowns for Green Bay but that hasn't stopped Cobb from being a force in PPR leagues.

9/13/2012 11:50:00 PM
Description: Green Bay wideout Randall Cobb didn't have as large of a role in the offense in Week 2 despite Greg Jennings' absence. Cobb had one rush and one catch.
Insight: Cobb turned in 48 total yards on those two touches, but fantasy owners might want to hold off on starting Cobb in fantasy leagues until we see what his week-to-week role is going to be.

9/10/2012 9:40:00 AM
Description: Green Bay wideout Randall Cobb was the team's best offensive weapon in Week 1 against San Francisco, catching nine passes for 77 yards and returning a punt 75 yards for a score.
Insight: Cobb was the most electric player on the field -- Aaron Rodgers had 303 yards but the 49ers' defense held him to 6.9 yards per attempt. Green Bay is clearly going to use Cobb in a variety of ways this season -- he lined up at running back several times Sunday and also caught some screens.

8/10/2012 11:22:00 AM
Description: Green Bay wideout Randall Cobb caught four balls for 58 yards and a touchdown, mostly with the second unit.
Insight: In fantasy leagues which include return yards, Cobb could be an intriguing late-round selection. He totaled 1,616 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns last season and could see an increase in targets as a slot receiver in 2012.

7/9/2012 10:23:00 AM
Description: Green Bay wideout Randall Cobb is expected to continue to be the team's primary return man even while seeing an increase workload with the offense.
