Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) -
When Alexander Semin is healthy, he's pretty good and when you added him to a line with Alexander Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom he became TSN's 2009 Fantasy Right Wing Award winner.
Semin only played in 62 games this year, but it was enough to amass 34 goals, 45 assists and a solid +/- of 25. Add in 77 penalty minutes, 30 power play points and 223 shots on goal and you have a winner, squeezing past Marian Hossa of Detroit.
Meanwhile, TSN's 2009 Best Fantasy Bargain Award goes to Martin Havlat. Havlat came out of nowhere to become a top-10 at his position. From a 10-goal, 17 assist season in 2007-08 (he missed four months with a left shoulder injury), Havlat posted his best overall numbers in four years. With a preseason Average Draft Position (ADP) of 143, his finish at 29th overall and sixth-best right winger justifies the "trophy."
Marian Gaborik is a point-per-game talent when he's healthy, too bad he was only around for 17 games this season (13 G, 10 A). That's not enough for the preseason No.5 player at his position (ADP 40) and devastating to fantasy owners who were expecting 80+ points. For this reason Gaborik gets our 2009 TSN Most Disappointing Award.
