Description: Memphis center Marc Gasol led the way with 18 points, ten rebounds and three blocks Friday in a win against Chicago.
Insight: Gasol put up similar numbers in Wednesday's loss to Brooklyn (18 points, seven rebounds on 7-for-14 shooting). He's looked sharp since the All-Star break, averaging 15.4 ppg over his last nine appearances.
Description: Bulls center Joakim Noah, diagnosed with a sprained thumb, has been upgraded to probable for Friday's game with Memphis. SOURCE: Aggrey Sam, Comcast Sportsnet Chicago
Insight: Noah (12.0 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 4.8 apg) played through the injury on Wednesday so his status was never really in doubt. With two triple-doubles in his last three contests, Noah needs to be starting everywhere.
Description: Bulls center Joakim Noah has been diagnosed with a sprained thumb. SOURCE: Nick Friedell, ESPN Chicago
Insight: Noah (12.0 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 4.8 apg) played through the injury on Wednesday and we imagine he'll do the same Friday against Memphis. With two triple-doubles in his last three contests, Noah needs to be starting in all formats.
Description: Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao (back, knee, wrist) won't play Friday against Charlotte. SOURCE: Bob Finnan, The News-Herald
Insight: Varejao (8.8 ppg, 10.3 rpg) is dealing with back, knee and wrist injuries and will miss his 12th straight game. Spencer Hawes will likely retain his starting job even after Varejao returns as the team will probably have to ease him back in after the long layoff.
Description: Joakim Noah's triple-double Wednesday against the Pistons was his third of the season.
Insight: Only Indiana guard Lance Stephenson has produced more triple-doubles than Noah. Wednesday Noah (ten points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, two blocks) became the first center since David Robinson in 1993-94 to post three triple-doubles involving assists in the same season.
Description: The Pacers had no answer for Al Jefferson (34 points, eight rebounds) Wednesday in a 109-87 Bobcats victory.
Insight: Neither did the Heat Monday night in South Beach (38 points, 19 rebounds). Big Al is on a serious tear right now, averaging 29.3 ppg over his last four contests. Among centers, only DeMarcus Cousins is averaging more points this season (22.3 ppg for Cousins, 21.2 ppg for Jefferson).
Description: Cavaliers center Spencer Hawes had another big game Tuesday against the Spurs, posting 20 points, 13 rebounds, three triples, one block and one steal in 33 minutes.
Insight: Hawes has averaged 33.2 minutes, 16 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.3 threes and 1.0 blocks over his last six games. Cavs coach Mike Brown said Monday that Hawes likely will stay in the starting lineup even after Anderson Varejao returns.
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) already has been ruled out for Wednesday's game, according to J. Michael of csnwashington.com. He did participate in a limited practice Tuesday, however.
Insight: Seraphin is missing out on a chance to play big minutes with Nene sidelined for six weeks. Trevor Booker (33 mpg, 14.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.5 bpg last two games) will continue to take advantage of the situation.
Description: Rockets center Dwight Howard's status for Tuesday's game against the Heat is uncertain after he missed practice Monday, according to the Rockets on Twitter.
Insight: Howard sat out with a sore back and will be a game-time decision. The center, who had back surgery two years ago, has averaged 18.9 ppg, 12.5 rpg this season and is obviously a must start if in uniform.
Description: Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao (back, knee, wrist) is not expected to play Tuesday against the Spurs, though coach Mike Brown left the door slightly open by saying his chances are "slim."
Insight: Varejao (8.8 ppg, 10.3 rpg) is dealing with back, knee and wrist injuries and will likely miss his 11th straight game. Spencer Hawes likely will retain the starting job even after Varejao returns, as the team will have to ease Varejao back into action after the long layoff.
Description: Jazz center Enes Kanter played 35 minutes off the bench Monday at Milwaukee and had 27 points, 14 rebounds and one steal.
Insight: Kanter put up 15.7 points and 7.2 rebounds per game from Jan. 25 to Feb. 22 while Derrick Favors dealt with a hip injury, but prior to going off Monday he had averaged just 22.7 minutes, 8.5 points and 3.8 rebounds in four games since Favors returned to the lineup. The Bucks led by 28 going into the fourth quarter and Favors only played 19 minutes in the game, allowing Kanter to get extra playing time.
Description: Charlotte center Al Jefferson threw up 38 points and 19 rebounds Monday against the Heat.
Insight: You won't hear much about Jefferson because LeBron James had a career-high 61 points in Miami's 17-point win over the Bobcats, but Charlotte's center was masterful. Big Al has been an absolute stud over his last 23 games, averaging 26 ppg and 11.1 rpg in that span.
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) will miss his fourth consecutive game Monday against the Grizzlies, according to the Wizards on Twitter.
Insight: Seraphin is missing out on a chance to play big minutes with Nene sidelined for six weeks. Trevor Booker took full advantage of Seraphin's and Nene's absence and posted 14 points and seven rebounds against Philadelphia on Saturday. He'll have a tougher time Monday against Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol.
Description: Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao (back, knee, wrist) is not expected to play Tuesday against the Spurs.
Insight: Varejao (8.8 ppg, 10.3 rpg) is dealing with back, knee and wrist injuries and will miss his 11th straight game. Coach Mike Brown said Monday that Spencer Hawes likely will retain the starting job even after Varejao returns, as the team will have to ease Varejao back into action.
Description: Rockets center Dwight Howard's status for Tuesday's game against the Heat is uncertain after he missed practice Monday, according to the Rockets on Twitter.
Insight: Howard sat out with a sore back. The center had back surgery two years ago and wasn't fully recovered while playing for the Lakers last season, but it hasn't given him trouble to this point in the 2013-14 season.
Description: Cavaliers center Spencer Hawes is likely to stay in the starting lineup even when Anderson Varejao returns from his injuries, according to Bob Finnan of news-herald.com.
Insight: Hawes has averaged 33.2 minutes, 15.2 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.2 threes and 1.0 blocks over his last five games. Varejao will come off the bench as a backup power forward and center when he returns.
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) has missed three consecutive games and is questionable for Monday's game against Memphis.
Insight: Trevor Booker took full advantage of his and Nene's absence and posted 14 points and seven rebounds against Philadelphia on Saturday. He should be solid again on Monday if he doesn't have to share time with Seraphin.
Description: Atlanta center Pero Antic (ankle) will dress for Sunday's game but probably won't play, according to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Insight: Antic (5.8 ppg, 3.4 rpg) was given a 2-4 week timetable when he was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his right ankle on Jan. 23, but he still hasn't been able to return to the lineup. Elton Brand will get at least one more game as the starter.
Description: New York center Tyson Chandler was extremely active on the boards Sunday against Chicago.
Insight: Chandler, who came down with 22 rebounds on Sunday, has averaged a stunning 17 boards per contest over his last five games. His offensive contributions haven't been as noticeable (11.0 ppg in his last five) but that's nitpicking. Until this rebound binge is over, fantasy owners have no choice but to start Chandler.
Description: Golden State C/PF Jermaine O'Neal wasn't allowed to travel with the team to Toronto because he misplaced his passport. SOURCE: Holly MacKenzie, Sportsnet
Insight: O'Neal won't participate in Sunday's game though he is expected to meet the team in Indiana for their next game Tuesday against the Pacers. O'Neal's absence opens up more minutes for Marreese Speights (5.9 ppg, 3.4 rpg) and Draymond Green (5.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg).
Description: Nets center Andray Blatche had a productive outing Saturday against Milwaukee.
Insight: Blatche chipped in with 19 points, 13 rebounds, three steals and one blocked shot. He shot 9-of-9 from the free throw line. Of course, Blatche, who played 30 of 48 minutes on Saturday, won't see as much playing time when Kevin Garnett (rest) returns to the lineup Monday against Chicago.
Description: Magic PF/C Kyle O'Quinn filled up the stat sheet Saturday in a loss to Miami.
Insight: O'Quinn contributed 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting. He also corralled a season-high 15 rebounds. The Norfolk State alum has averaged 19.6 mpg since Glen Davis had his contract bought out last week. He was only playing 14 mpg before that.
Description: Detroit center Andre Drummond made his presence felt Saturday in a loss at Houston.
Insight: Drummond (13.2 ppg, 12.9 rpg) has finished with exactly 16 points and 17 rebounds in each of his last two games. He also blocked two shots Saturday, the same number he had Wednesday versus San Antonio. Now how's that for consistency?
Description: Grizzlies center Marc Gasol had a busy night Saturday against Cleveland.
Insight: Gasol did a little bit of everything, finishing with 22 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Saturday was Gasol's first 20-point effort in over three months (November 18th against the Clippers).
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins had a big game Saturday in his return from a one-game suspension.
Insight: Boogie went off for 21 points, 17 rebounds and three blocked shots, though it wasn't enough to beat Minnesota (108-97). Fantasy owners should be aware that Cousins is one technical away from another suspension. We'll see if he can keep his cool Monday against the Pelicans.
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) missed Thursday's game and is now listed as out for Saturday's game against Philadelphia.
Insight: Trevor Booker should be the big beneficiary with Nene sidelined for 4-6 weeks as well, but played just 21 minutes on Thursday night. Chris Singleton actually saw more minutes (25) and put up 13 points and nine rebounds.
Description: Washington F/C Kevin Seraphin (knee) missed Thursday's game and is questionable for Saturday's game against Philadelphia.
Insight: Trevor Booker should be the big beneficiary if Seraphin can't go and with Nene sidelined for 4-6 weeks as well, but played just 21 minutes on Thursday night. Chris Singleton actually saw more minutes (25) and put up 13 points and nine rebounds.
Description: Utah center Derrick Favors played 32 minutes Friday against the Cavaliers, his most in three games since returning from a hip injury.
Insight: Favors didn't do much in those minutes, however, posting eight points on 3-of-9 shooting, three rebounds, two blocks and two steals. He averaged 27.5 minutes, 17.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg and 2.5 bpg the previous two games.
Description: Cleveland forward Tristan Thompson has recorded seven double-doubles in his last nine games.
Insight: He came within one rebound of a double-double in each of the other two games during that span. The 22-year-old had 18 points, 14 rebounds and two assists in 33 minutes Friday night. His minutes may drop a bit when Anderson Varejao returns to the lineup, as the team will have to incorporate Spencer Hawes, Thompson and Varejao into the frontcourt mix.
Description: Cavaliers center Spencer Hawes had 13 points, 16 rebounds, two blocks and one steal Friday against the Jazz.
Insight: Hawes has averaged 33.3 minutes, 15.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 threes and 1.0 blocks over his last four games. He'll continue to start at center until Anderson Varejao returns, and even then the team will probably find enough minutes for him to be a solid fantasy option.
Description: Boston center Kelly Olynyk (toe) is doubtful for Saturday's game against Indiana, according to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe.
Insight: He sat out Wednesday with a toe injury after scoring 21 points with eight rebounds and four assists on Feb. 24. The team is expected to get Jared Sullinger back from a concussion Saturday so Olynyk won't have any fantasy value when he returns to the lineup.
Description: Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao (back, knee, wrist) will not play Friday, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Insight: Varejao (8.8 ppg, 10.3 rpg) is dealing with back, knee and wrist injuries and will miss his ninth straight game. The team acquired Spencer Hawes at the trade deadline and will start him until Varejao returns.
Description: Atlanta center Gustavo Ayon need shoulder surgery and will miss the remainder of the season.
Insight: With Al Horford, Paul Millsap, Pero Antic and Ayon all injured, the Hawks' frontcourt is a shell of its former self. In a recent game against the Bulls, SG/SF Kyle Korver, SF DeMarre Carroll and PF Elton Brand were Atlanta's three starting frontcourt players. Needless to say they were killed on the boards (55-37).
Description: Indiana center Roy Hibbert had his first 20-10 game since Nov. 23 Thursday against the Bucks.
Insight: Hibbert made 10-of-16 from the field and 4-of-5 from the foul line for 24 points with 12 rebounds and two blocks. He came in averaging just 8.5 ppg and 6.6 rpg in February, but has continued to block shots at a high level (2.4 bpg this month).
Description: The Nets will have Kevin Garnett available on Thursday against the Nuggets, according to beat writer Andy Vasquez.
Insight: Garnett's status was in question because Brooklyn is on a back-to-back. The 37-year-old has started all 48 games he has appeared in this season but is averaging just 21.1 minutes per game. He has played only 18.6 minutes per game in February.
Description: Nuggers center Timofey Mozgov is expected to start again Thursday against the Nets, according to nba.com.
Insight: Mozgov started his first game since Dec. 28 Tuesday and had 14 points, six rebounds and two blocks in 25 minutes. J.J. Hickson moved to the bench but still played 30 minutes and had 16 points and 25 boards.
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (ankle bursitis) scrimmaged Thursday and could play Saturday.
Insight: At 18.0 ppg, and 9.1 rpg, Pek has been a must start when available. With Ronny Turiaf also hurting Dante Cunningham has been getting most of the work at center and has averaged 11.3 ppg and 5.8 rpg over the last four contests.
Description: Sacramento center DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended for a game and fined $20,000 for throwing a punch and then verbally abusing the referees. He'll miss Friday's game.
Insight: Cousins is a ticking timebomb and fantasy owners who selected him knew it. Now its time to pay the piper. It's a shame such a talented player (22.3 ppg, 11.5 rpg, 2.9 apg) can't control his emotions.
Description: Cavaliers center Spencer Hawes had 19 points, seven rebounds and three treys in 32 minutes Wednesday against the Thunder.
Insight: Hawes has played exactly 32 minutes in three straight games and averaged 14.2 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 threes and 1.3 blocks in four games since joining the Cavaliers. However, his fantasy value will dip when Anderson Varejao returns to the lineup from his various injuries.
Description: Hawks center Elton Brand has blocked 12 shots his last four games.
Insight: Brand had 10 points, seven rebounds, five assists, five blocks and a steal Wednesday at Boston. With Al Horford, Pero Antic, Paul Millsap and Gustavo Ayon out, Atlanta has had to play Brand extensively as of late. He has averaged 35.2 minutes over his last six games.
Description: Celtics center Jared Sullinger is not expected to play Wednesday against the Hawks, according to Baxter Holmes of the Boston Globe.
Insight: Sullinger suffered a concussion Friday against the Lakers. Kris Humphries started the last two games in his place and averaged 28.5 minutes, 14 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals. He should have another good night against Atlanta's thin front line.
Description: Atlanta center Gustavo Ayon did not make the trip to Boston for Wednesday night's game against the Celtics. SOURCE: Chris Vivlamore, Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Insight: This will be the fifth game he's missed with a shoulder injury. With Al Horford, Paul Millsap, Pero Antic and Ayon all injured, the Hawks' frontcourt is a shell of its former self. Last night against the Bulls, Kyle Korver, DeMarre Carroll and Elton Brand were Atlanta's three starting frontcourt players.
Description: Denver center J.J. Hickson was on a mission Tuesday versus Portland.
Insight: Coming off the bench for just the fourth time this season, Hickson corralled a season-high 25 rebounds in only 30 minutes of action. Fifteen of those boards came on the offensive glass. He also finished with 16 points, his highest output since February 5th. We'll see if that's enough to earn Hickson a spot in the starting five Thursday against Brooklyn.
Description: Sacramento center DeMarcus Cousins lost his temper again Tuesday in a loss to Houston.
Insight: Cousins' latest tirade included two technical fouls, giving him 15 for the season. If he picks up another, which is almost a certainty at this point, Cousins (16 points, six rebounds in 20 minutes) will be suspended for a game. The 23-year-old has now been ejected eight times in his four-year career.
Description: Rockets big man Dwight Howard returned from a knee injury to score 20 points Tuesday in a lopsided win over Sacramento.
Insight: Howard went down in the first half after colliding with DeMarcus Cousins. He wasn't out for long though, returning in time to log his 38th double-double of the season. After a turbulent 2012-13 campaign in Los Angeles, Howard has reclaimed his position as the game's best all-around center.
Description: Houston center Dwight Howard left Tuesday's game against the Kings after a collision with DeMarcus Cousins.
Insight: Howard (five points, seven rebounds in eight minutes) injured his knee but was able to walk off the floor on his own power. Omer Asik could see extended minutes if the injury sidelines Howard for the rest of tonight's game.
Description: Chicago center Joakim Noah was dominant on both ends of the floor Tuesday versus the Hawks.
Insight: He tallied 20 points to go with 12 rebounds and three steals. Always the deft passer, Noah finished with three assists. The two-time All-Star has been outstanding this month, averaging 14 ppg, 11.6 rpg and 5.9 apg in 11 February appearances. He'll be a must-start Wednesday when the Bulls host Golden State.
Description: Make that five straight double-doubles for Wizards center Marcin Gortat.
Insight: Gortat had 21 points and 10 rebounds in 38 minutes Tuesday against Orlando and has averaged 16.4 points and 11.2 boards during his streak. He'll need to pick up more of the interior scoring slack with Nene (knee) sidelined for six weeks.
Description: Orlando center Nikola Vucevic has collected three double-doubles in his last four games and eight in 11 games this month.
Insight: Vucevic had 19 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 31 minutes Tuesday at Washington but also fouled out for the second time in three games. He has picked up 5.0 fouls per game his last five games but is finding a way to contribute when he's on the floor.
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (ankle bursitis) will miss his 13th straight game Tuesday, according to Timberwolves announcer Alan Horton.
Insight: At 18.0 ppg, and 9.1 rpg, Pek has been a must start when available. With Ronny Turiaf also hurting Dante Cunningham has been getting most of the work at center and has averaged 11 ppg and 6.0 rpg over the last three contests.
Description: Cleveland center Anderson Varejao (back, knee, wrist) is unlikely to travel to Oklahoma City for Wednesday's game, according to beat writer Rick Noland.
Insight: Varejao (8.8 ppg, 10.3 rpg) is dealing with back, knee and wrist injuries and will probably miss his seventh straight game. The team acquired Spencer Hawes at the trade deadline and is expected to start him Wednesday.
Description: Atlanta center Pero Antic (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday, according to the Hawks on Twitter.
Insight: Antic (5.8 ppg, 3.4 rpg) was given a 2-4 week timetable when he was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his right ankle on Jan. 23, but he's still out. The Hawks will be without Al Horford, Paul Millsap, Gustavo Ayon and Antic, leaving Elton Brand and Mike Scott to do most of the work in the frontcourt.
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (ankle bursitis) is questionable for Tuesday's game against Phoenix.
Insight: Play-by-play guy David Benz thinks he's close to returning. At 18.0 ppg, and 9.1 rpg, he's a must start when available. With Ronny Turiaf also hurting Dante Cunningham has been getting most of the work at center and has averaged 11 ppg and 6.0 rpg over the last three contests.
Description: Atlanta center Pero Antic (ankle) was not able to practice Monday, so is unlikely to play on Tuesday.
Insight: Antic (5.8 ppg, 3.4 rpg) was given a 2-4 week timetable when he was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his right ankle on Jan. 23 and he's coming up on the end of it. The Hawks will be without Al Horford, Paul Millsap, Gustavo Ayon and Antic, leaving Elton Brand and Mike Scott to do most of the work in the frontcourt.
Description: Utah center Derrick Favors expects to return Monday against Boston. He's been out with a strained hip. SOURCE: Gary Washburn, Boston Globe
Insight: Favors (12.9 ppg, 9.0 rpg) will probably be on a minutes restriction so fantasy owners may want to wait a game or two before starting him. He had ten points and 14 rebounds against the Celtics when he played them earlier this year.
Description: Drew Gooden is close to signing a ten-day contract with Washington. SOURCE: Marc Stein, ESPN
Insight: The move makes sense now that Nene is out with a sprained MCL. Gooden obviously won't be able to fill Nene's shoes but he could give the Wizards some depth behind Trevor Booker and Kevin Seraphin. Outside of very deep leagues, fantasy owners shouldn't be pursuing any of these players.
Description: Warriors big man Andrew Bogut will be a game-time decision on Monday. He's been absent the last seven games with a bruised shoulder. SOURCE: Rusty Simmons, San Francisco Chronicle
Insight: The Warriors are going to be very shorthanded if both Bogut and David Lee (illness) have to sit out tonight. Jermaine O'Neal played well on Saturday (23 points, 13 rebounds) and should get another start there Monday if Bogut can't play.
Description: Washington PF/C Nene is headed for an MRI on his injured knee with what the team fears may be a torn ligament, according to a Washington Post report.
Insight: Nene left Sunday's game in the third quarter. We wouldn't count on him playing Tuesday versus the Magic. Kevin Seraphin or Trevor Booker could inherit serious minutes in Nene's injury is long-term.
Description: Golden State center Andrew Bogut did not play Saturday and is expected to miss Monday's game against Detroit
Insight: Bogut's injured shoulder doesn't seem to be improving and he'll miss his eighth straight game. The center has been good for 8.2 points, 10.7 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and 1.6 assists this season. The Warriors will be short-handed up front as David Lee isn't making the trip to Detroit.
Description: Chicago center Joakim Noah was on point during Sunday's loss to Miami.
Insight: Noah has been carrying the Bulls of late and Sunday was no exception. The talented big man registered 20 points, 15 rebounds and three blocked shots. Fantasy owners would be crazy not to start him at this point.
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins will give it a go Sunday against Denver. SOURCE: Jason Jones, Sacramento Bee
Insight: Cousins had been a game-time decision because of a strained hip flexor. Even though he struggled Saturday against Boston (13 points and six turnovers before fouling out), Cousins is way too talented to leave on your bench.
Description: Miami big man Gred Oden will get the start Sunday against Chicago. SOURCE: Ira Winderman, South Florida Sun-Sentinel
Insight: Oden hasn't started a game since 2009. He's averaged just 7.8 minutes per game this season. With Oden at the five, Chris Bosh will move over to power forward. It's just the second time this season the Heat have had to play without LeBron James (broken nose).
Description: The Nets have signed center Jason Collins to a 10-day contract, according to yahoosports.com.
Insight: He doesn't have any fantasy value but it's a major story as Collins is the first active openly gay player in the NBA. He'll occupy no more than 10 minutes per game for Brooklyn. It's his second stint with the organization after playing with the Nets from 2001-08.
Description: Warriors center Jermaine O'Neal turned in a vintage performance Saturday, scoring 23 points and pulling down 13 boards over 34 minutes of play.
Insight: With Andrew Bogut out with a shoulder injury, O'Neal has played 35.5 mpg his last two games. However, the 35-year-old probably won't be able to keep logging those minutes without breaking down.
Description: Detroit forward Greg Monroe had another strong game Saturday with 17 points, 17 rebounds and two blocks in 40 minutes against Dallas.
Insight: Monroe has had his best month of the season in February. Over 11 games, he has recorded 16.1 points, 9.8 boards, 2.1 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.7 blocks. He has picked up eight rejections his last five games after failing to block a single shot in the 24 prior contests.
Description: Jazz center Derrick Favors Friday (hip) will miss Saturday's game, according to Aaron Falk of the Salt Lake Tribune.
Insight: Favors has been dealing with an injured hip since January and will miss his seventh game in the last 13 Saturday. Enes Kanter has averaged 34.5 minutes, 21.5 points, 10 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 blocks the last two games.
Description: Boston center Jared Sullinger suffered a mild concussion during the fourth quarter Friday, according to the Celtics on Twitter.
Insight: We found out earlier that Sullinger would miss Saturday's game after taking a blow to the head Friday, so the fact that he has a concussion isn't surprising. The 21-year-old big man has been tearing it up, averaging 31.7 minutes, 16.2 points, 11.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks over his last nine games. Kris Humphries, Brandon Bass and Kelly Olynyk will absorb Sullinger's minutes.
Description: Atlanta center Pero Antic (ankle) will not play Saturday, according to the Hawks on Twitter.
Insight: He was given a 2-4 week timetable when he was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his right ankle on Jan. 23 and he's coming up on the end of it. The Hawks will be without Al Horford, Paul Millsap, Gustavo Ayon and Antic Saturday, leaving Elton Brand and Mike Scott to start in the frontcourt.
Description: Cleveland center Anderson Varejao did some shooting, but will not play Sunday.
Insight: Varejao (8.8 ppg, 10.3 rpg) is dealing with back, knee and wrist injuries and will sit out for the fifth straight game. Tyler Zeller and Anthony Bennett have been picking up some extra playing time in Varejao's absence, but this is the reason the team traded for Spencer Hawes.
Description: Atlanta center Gustavo Ayon is expected to miss at least two additional games. SOURCE: Chris Vivlamore, Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Insight: He tweaked his shoulder during Tuesday's loss to Indiana. Veteran Elton Brand came up big with 20 points and 11 rebounds on Wednesday, but then disappeared in 27 minutes on Friday night with just seven points.
Description: Detroit forward Greg Monroe did it all Friday in a win against Atlanta.
Insight: Monroe led the team with 22 points on 10-for-17 shooting. He also collected a game-high 15 rebounds to go with two blocked shots. Monroe was one of three Pistons to score at least 20 points on Friday.
Description: Orlando center Nikola Vucevic put up big numbers Friday in a win against the Knicks.
Insight: Vucevic posted 14 points and 15 rebounds before fouling out. The 42 minutes Vucevic logged were his most since October 30th against Minnesota. He's almost guaranteed for a double-double Sunday against the Raptors.
Description: Charlotte center Al Jefferson exploded for 33 points and ten rebounds Friday in a win over New Orleans.
Insight: He also had two blocked shots. The 30 shots Jefferson attempted were his second-most of the season. Jefferson seems to be the Bobcats' only source of offense right now. He's an obvious must-start and should be for the duration of this season.
Description: Thunder center Kendrick Perkins will miss a week's worth of games while he recovers from a strained groin. SOURCE: Darnell Mayberry, The Oklahoman
Insight: Perkins (3.4 ppg, 5.0 rpg) got hurt during Thursday's loss to Miami. In 54 contests this season, Perkins has scored double-digit points exactly one time. The 29-year-old has no business being owned in any fantasy leagues.
Description: Ronny Turiaf's bone bruise could cost him up to three weeks. The T-Wolves center injured his knee Wednesday against the Pacers. SOURCE: Andy Greder, St. Paul Pioneer Press
Insight: Minnesota is now down two centers and may resort to starting Gorgui Dieng (1.3 ppg, 2.1 rpg) at the five Saturday against Utah. The good news for Minnesota is that Nikola Pekovic (ankle injury) shouldn't be on the shelf for too much longer.
Description: Lakers center Chris Kaman will move back to the bench with the return of starter Pau Gasol.
Insight: Though there was some talk about starting both big men, its not going to happen. The Lakers Friday night starting lineup will be Gasol, Wes Johnson, Ryan Kelly, Kendall Marshall and Jodie Meeks. Looks like the end of Kaman's fantasy value.
