Description: Vikings newly-acquired receiver Greg Jennings missed Wednesday's practice at the OTA due to an ankle problem.
Insight: Jennings needs to be healthy and on the field to develop chemistry with his new quarterback (Christian Ponder). Given that Jennings has had a problem with injuries the last few years fantasy owners are going to have to be conservative with their estimates of Jennings' fantasy value.

Description: After trading Percy Harvin last week, the Vikings have snagged receiver Greg Jennings from the rival Packers with a five-year, $47.5 million contract, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Insight: Jennings was nagged by a groin injury for most of last season and only played eight games while catching 36 passes for 366 yards and four touchdowns. That came after he played only 13 games in 2011-12. Even if he stays healthy, having Christian Ponder instead of Aaron Rodgers as his QB will make it difficult for him to post his first 1,000-yard season since 2010-11 unless Ponder takes a major step forward. The signing probably does more to keep defenses from loading the box in front of Adrian Peterson than anything else.

Description: The Packers haven't ruled out the possibility of placing the franchise tag on free agent wide receiver Greg Jennings. SOURCE: Ian Rapoport, NFL Network
Insight: Jennings (36 catches, 366 yards, four TD in 2012) would earn $10.4 million next season if the Packers decide to tag him. The 29-year-old has plenty of talent but so do Randall Cobb, James Jones and Jordy Nelson. Jennings would probably be more successful on a team where he's the No. 1 or 2 wide receiver instead of the third or fourth option like he is right now in Green Bay.

Description: Packers free agent wide receiver Greg Jennings has apparently put his Green Bay home up for sale, according to a FOX Sports Wisconsin report.
Insight: The Packers are deep at wideout so the thought is they won't be offering the free agent a monster deal. There are very few teams that Jennings can go to where he won't see a drastic reduction in the quality of the quarterback play. Expect his fantasy numbers to drop unless he signs with another quarterback equal to Aaron Rodgers.

1/9/2013 8:39:00 PM
Description: The Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins will make a push for Packers receiver Greg Jennings when he becomes a free agent later this offseason.
Insight: The Packers are already plenty deep at wide receiver so it wouldn't be surprising to see Jennings sign with another team. He'd definitely be an upgrade for the Dolphins. Miami's only productive receiver this year was Brian Hartline (1,083 yards) and he was still pretty hit or miss.

12/30/2012 7:50:00 PM
Description: Packers wideout Greg Jennings had 120 yards and two touchdowns on eight catches Sunday against the Vikings, his first 100-yard game of the season.
Insight: Jennings missed eight games this season but caught three touchdowns over the final two games. He'll be a free agent and could be looking for a new team.

12/23/2012 4:44:00 PM
Description: Packers wideout Greg Jennings scored his first touchdown since Week 4 Sunday against the Titans.
Insight: Jennings hasn't been much of a factor in four games since returning from a groin injury as he has been surpassed by Randall Cobb as Aaron Rodgers' No. 1 target. He added seven catches for 45 yards Sunday for those who stuck with him.

11/30/2012 2:33:00 PM
Description: Packers wideout Greg Jennings (groin) has practiced all week and is expected to play Sunday against Minnesota.
Insight: He'll be a shaky play in Week 13 versus Minnesota as the team eases him back into action. Jennings should end up splitting time with James Jones while Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb should not see much of a reduction in playing time.

11/27/2012 6:36:00 PM
Description: Packers coach Mike McCarthy expects wideout Greg Jennings (groin) to be a full participant in practice this week but said the receiver may be on a limited snap count. SOURCE: Tyler Dunne, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel
Insight: Jennings practiced on a limited basis last week but he's still working on his conditioning after not playing since Week 4. He'll be a shaky play in Week 13 versus Minnesota as the team eases him back into action.

11/26/2012 9:11:00 AM
Description: Packers coach Mike McCarthy expects wideout Greg Jennings (groin) to be a full participant in practice this week and ready to go for Week 13 against Minnesota.
Insight: Jennings practiced on a limited basis last week but he's still working on his conditioning after not playing since Week 4.

11/25/2012 10:46:00 AM
Description: Packers wideout Greg Jennings (groin) is not expected to play Sunday against the Giants. SOURCE: Adam Schefter, ESPN
Insight: Jennings practiced on a limited basis all week but he's still not ready to play from a conditioning standpoint since he hasn't played a game since Week 4.

11/23/2012 1:39:00 PM
Description: Packers wideout Greg Jennings, who is recoving from sports hernia surgery, practiced for the third consecutive day, but likely won't try to play until Week 13, according to a packersnews.com report.
Insight: Jennings missed so much time that he's got to build up his stamina. In the meantime, Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb continue to be must-start receivers.

11/12/2012 1:50:00 PM
Description: Packers wideout Greg Jennings, who is recoving from sports hernia surgery, did not practice Monday and remains out indefinitely.
Insight: If Jennings stays on schedule after his surgery he could be back for the Week 12 game against the Giants. In the meantime, Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb are must-start receivers.

10/25/2012 10:37:00 PM
Description: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Packers wideout Greg Jennings will miss about three weeks while he recovers from sports hernia surgery.
Insight: The surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday. Jennings was originally expected to miss about six weeks. If Jennings stays on schedule after his surgery he could be back for Week 12's game against the Giants on November 25th.

10/25/2012 4:41:00 PM
Description: According to Packers beat writer Bill Huber, receiver Greg Jennings could be sidelined an additional six weeks following his surgery he'll undergo next Tuesday.
Insight: Jenning has dealt with a groin injury for most of the season and didn't make much progress despite sitting out the last three games. A second opinion revealed a tear to his rectus abdominis, otherwise known as a sports hernia. Saints cornerback Jabari Greer had a similar procedure on Aug. 2 and didn't return until about six weeks later.

10/25/2012 2:45:00 PM
Description: According to Chris Roth of ABC Green Bay, Packers receiver Greg Jennings will have surgery to repair and abdominal tear but the surgery is not season ending.
Insight: Jenning has dealt with a groin injury for most of the season and clearly aggravated it by attempting to come back before it was fully healed. Though we won't see the receiver on the field for awhile, he's expected to be back at some point this season so stash him away for the fantasy playoffs.

10/25/2012 11:59:00 AM
Description: According to Adam Schein of NFL.com, Packers coach Mike McCarthy said receiver Greg Jennings (groin) is "going through the options, surgery is one."
Insight: The surgery would not be season ending, however. Still, after the Green Bay Press-Gazette speculated Thursday that Jennings could have a sports hernia it seems unlikely we'll see him on the field anytime soon.

10/23/2012 12:18:00 PM
Description: Green Bay wideout Greg Jennings could practice this week, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. He's still battling an injured groin.
Insight: Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has plenty of targets in Jordy Nelson, James Jones, Jermichael Finley, Donald Driver and Randall Cobb so the team may opt to wait until Jennings is 100 percent before put him out there.

10/21/2012 11:58:00 AM
Description: Green Bay wideout Greg Jennings won't be available to play Sunday against St. Louis. He's still battling an injured groin.
Insight: No surprise here. With Jennings on the sidelines, expect Aaron Rodgers to continue targeting Jordy Nelson, Jermichael Finley and Randall Cobb down the field with James Jones getting most of the looks in the red zone.

10/12/2012 5:04:00 PM
Description: Packers receiver Greg Jennings has been ruled out for Week 6 against the Texans due to his lingering groin injury.
Insight: Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said Jennings is six days away from even trying out his injury again, according to Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com.
