Insight: Ogando (2-3, 6.84 ERA) was brutal against the Orioles last night, allowing two hits and three earned runs in just a third of an inning. Aaron Poreda has been called up from Triple-A Round Rock to take Ogando's vacant roster spot.

Insight: Ogando has allowed 11 runs in 6 1/3 innings his last two starts and is no longer a lock for the rotation. Yu Darvish and Martin Perez are locked into the top two spots, but the final three spots are up in the air. Ogando, Joe Saunders, Tommy Hanson, Colby Lewis, Tanner Scheppers and Robbie Ross are competing for them, and Matt Harrison will also be in the mix when he's ready to return from multiple back surgeries.

Insight: Ogando didn't allow a run, though neither did Royals starter James Shields. Kansas City would eventually win 4-0 on a walkoff grand slam. Ogando (7-4, 2.93 ERA) was extremely efficient on Sunday, tossing just 77 pitches in seven innings.

Insight: Ogando went on the DL with shoulder inflammation for the second time this season in August and returned as a reliever this month. He threw six scoreless innings and allowed one hit out of the bullpen and limited Tampa Bay to two hits and one run Tuesday. He should remain in the rotation going forward.
