Yoenis Cespedes, LF, BOS8/21/2014 11:18:00 PM
Description: Red Sox outfielder Yoenis Cespedes left Thursday\'s game after one at-bat due to a family medical emergency. Insight: He could return as soon as Friday, but we have no accurate information as of yet. The outfielder was 2-for-11 in the four-game set with the Angels and hasn\'t done much since being traded to the Red Sox.
Matt Shoemaker, SP, ANAHot8/21/2014 10:32:00 PM
Description: With Garrett Richards going down the Angels needed an outing like this from Matt Shoemaker - 7 2/3 IP, one hit and nine strikeouts. Insight: Shoemaker\'s record jumps to 12-4 and his ERA falls to 3.56. It\'s surprising he gets so little publicity and fantasy attention (36 percent ownership in Yahoo) considering he\'s posted a dozen wins and is striking out almost a batter an inning.

The do's and don'ts of smoking in the NFL
Team unity is always a good thing. Well, the Pittsburgh Steelers running backs proved once again too much of a good thing can prove not to be good at all. Full Story | Player Stats: BlountBell

Ben Roethlisberger, QB, PIT8/21/2014 10:11:00 PM
Description: Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger needed into the third quarter to get the Steelers on the board in the third preseason game against Philadelphia. Insight: He finished the night 15-for-24 for 157 1 TD and 1 INT. The Eagles defense isn\'t very good so this is disheartening.
Jeremy Maclin, WR, PHI8/21/2014 10:05:00 PM
Description: Eagles receiver Jeremy Maclin went down in a heap after making a cut in the first quarter, but he returned in the next series and looked fine. Insight: Maclin missed all of 2013 with a torn ACL and has dealt with nagging injuries his entire career. He\'s a high-risk, high-reward option.

 Reggie Jackson, G, OKC8/21/2014 12:34:00 PM
Description: The Oklahoma City Thunder and guard Reggie Jackson are unlikely to reach an agreement to a contract extension before the October 31 deadline, according to NewsOK.com. Insight: The Thunder would like to lock up Jackson long term before the season starts, but that is unlikely according to the NewsOK.com report. The 24-year-old is due to be a restricted free agent after this season. At that time, Oklahoma City can match any offer another team issues to Jackson. The guard is somewhat limited in terms of fantasy if Russell Westbrook is healthy.
 Eric Bledsoe, G, PHO8/21/2014 12:25:00 PM
Description: According to Jude LaCava of FOX Phoenix, the Suns are attempting to trade restricted free agent eric Bledsoe. Insight: Bledsoe wants a five-year max contract, but the biggest contract the Suns have offered him is four years and $48 million. Injures limited Bledsoe to 43 games last season, but in those games, he averaged 17.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.6 steals. If John Wall can get a max deal it\'s not crazy to think Bledsoe (17.7 ppg, 5.5 apg, 4.7 rpg) will get one also. As a restricted free agent, the Suns can match any offer Bledsoe receives on the open market. There\'s been some speculation that Phoenix could deal Bledsoe or point guard Goran Dragic to Minnesota as part of a trade for Kevin Love.

 Steve Mason, G, PHI8/21/2014 1:56:00 PM
Description: Flyers goalie Steve Mason (finger) returned to the ice this week after not skating the past three weeks according to the Philadelphia Daily News. Insight: He suffered a broken pinky finger while playing ball hockey, but Mason should be ready for training camp. He posted a 33-18 record with a 2.50 goals against average in 61 games last year.
Clarke MacArthur, LW, OTT8/21/2014 1:48:00 PM
Description: Left wing Clarke MacArthur and the Senators have come to terms on a five-year extension. Insight: MacArthur went on to tell the Ottawa Sun that he will not change the way he plays the game. "Just because I\'ve got a five-year deal, that doesn\'t mean I need to change a whole lot. I kind of want to play the same game. I want to play good in both ends." MacArthur had 24 goals and 31 assists in his first season in Ottawa last year.
