Insight: After a horrible start, Desmond is trying to turn his season around. He has five hits in his last three games, including a pair of homers. He is still batting just .225 and this unfavorable matchup is unlikely to help.

Insight: Kendrick should find himself on the NL All-Star Team. He is hitting .289 with six homers and 32 RBI. Kendrick has been a nice surprise for both the Dodgers and owners and is a solid play on Tuesday.

Insight: Zimmerman (plantar fasciitis) is targeting a mid-July return. Tyler Moore and Clint Robinson have been sharing time while Zimmerman is sidelined. Robinson has shown to have the better bat.

Insight: Lowrie tore a ligament in his thumb and hasn't played since April 27. He's still weeks away from a return. He was batting .300 with four homers and 10 RBI in 18 games.

Description: Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia (hamstring) is making progress, according to Scott Lauber of the Boston Herald.
Insight: Still, there is no announced timetable and you shouldn't expect him until after the break. Pedroia is having a rebound season from a year ago, batting .306 with nine homers, 33 RBI, 34 and 34 runs.

Description: Orioles second baseman Jonathan Schoop could be activated anytime this week. There was even thought that the team would activate him on Monday, but they opted for more rehab work at Norfolk.
Insight: Schoop had shown power early on with three homers and seven RBI through nine games. In the meantime, Ryan Flaherty (.254, 3 HR, 20 RBI) will continue to get the majority of the work at second base.

Insight: He was a late scratch from Monday's game, so he's close to returning, but it still hurts when he throws. Escobar is hitting .281 with 17 extra-base hits and 28 RBI, 37 runs and five steals in this year, which makes him a low-end fantasy starter value.

Description: Red Sox left fielder Hanley Ramirez's MRI showed just a bruise, no broken bones which is the best fantasy owners could hope for.
Insight: Ramirez left last Wednesday's game after a line drive hit his hand. He's missed five straight games, but did swing off a tee on Monday. He's flown to Toronto to meet the team and could see action before the end of the series.

Insight: Dozier has not passed the 15-home run mark, and is at the 40-RBI mark as well. He is batting over .260, so fantasy owners need to be happy with his production this season.

Insight: Bogaerts continues to hit in the three-hole, giving him more opportunities to produce. He is now batting .294 with 33 RBI this season.
