Description: The Boston Red Sox and free agent Hanley Ramirez have agreed to terms on a four-year deal.
Insight: What a day for Boston, as they also have reportedly locked up Pablo Sandoval to play third base. Ramirez actually may play left field for the Red Sox, if the team hangs on to youngster Xander Bogaerts. Nevertheless the deal will be four years worth $88 million. Boston will now focus on their starting pitching.
Pablo Sandoval, 3B, BOS11/24/2014 4:29:00 PM
Description: The Boston Red Sox and third baseman Pablo Sandoval have reached an agreement on a five-year contract.
Insight: The deal is still pending a physical, but the contract is expected to be close to $100 million. Sandoval should fit into Boston's lineup very nicely.

Description: First baseman Adam LaRoche agreed to a two-year, $25 million contract with the Chicago White Sox.
Insight: With Jose Abreu the everyday first baseman, it appears as though the White Sox intend to start LaRoche at designated hitter. The 35-year-old hit .259/.362/.455 with 26 home runs and 92 RBI in 140 games during 2014. U.S. Cellular Field is a more friendly hitters park, so it is quite possible LaRoche hits even more home runs next season.
Robinson Cano, 2B, SEA11/15/2014 7:56:00 PM
Description: Mariners second basman Robinson Cano has a non-displaced fracture in his right pinkie toe according to MLB.com.
Insight: Cano will need three-to-four weeks to recover. He should resume all baseball activities in the middle of December, and Cano will definitely be ready for training camp.
