Description: The Knicks waived forward Metta World Peace on Monday. SOURCE: Al Iannazzone, Newsday
Insight: We wouldn't expect anyone to claim him off waivers. Obviously we can't endorse World Peace (4.8 ppg, 2.0 rpg) in fantasy until he finds a new team.

Description: Knicks small forward Metta World Peace is out for Sunday's game against the LA Lakers due to a stomach virus.
Insight: World Peace was supposed to be available for Friday's game against Charlotte, but played zero minutes. With Andrea Bargnani and Amare Stoudemire hurt, Peace could see significant court time, if healthy. He still won't be fantasy worthy.

Description: Knicks small forward Metta World Peace will be available for Friday's game against Charlotte. World Peace had missed New York's previous 13 games with a knee injury. SOURCE: Ian Begley, ESPN New York
Insight: World Peace could play a bigger role than usual with Andrea Bargnani, Amare Stoudemire and Kenyon Martin all out with injuries. It's debatable whether or not World Peace (5.5 ppg) deserves to be owned in fantasy.

Description: New York forward Metta World Peace is hoping to return next Tuesday against Boston. SOURCE: Tina Cervasio, MSG
Insight: Including tonight, that means World Peace will miss a minimum of three more games. He's been battling knee issues all month and is only averaging 5.5 ppg this season. Fantasy owners need to look elsewhere.

1/7/2014 8:09:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Metta World Peace (knee) underwent a platelet-rich plasma treatment on both knees and will miss at least another two weeks, according to espnny.com.
Insight: "It went good," World Peace said. "It was over in minutes. I did both knees because I didn't want to come back off-balanced and hurt the other knee." MWP has averaged just 15 minutes and 5.5 points over 23 games with New York this season.

12/23/2013 6:26:00 PM
Description: According to Ian Begley of ESPN New York, Knicks forward Metta World Peace (knee) says he plans to undergo a PRP blood spinning procedure to improve his knee on Jan. 6.
Insight: World Peace said he's had his knee drained "maybe five" times since training camp. He hasn't been playing enough to be a fantasy option anyway, but his absence may open the door for Tim Hardaway Jr. to help owners.

12/23/2013 12:42:00 PM
Description: New York forward Metta World Peace participated in the team's morning shootaround but he isn't expected to play Monday versus the Magic. SOURCE: Steve Popper, The Record
Insight: World Peace sat out Saturday's game with a knee ailment. He hasn't scored in double-digits since December 8th versus Boston. Fantasy owners in the market for a small forward should look elsewhere.

12/21/2013 11:28:00 AM
Description: Knicks forward Metta World Peace (knee) will miss Saturday's game due to a knee issue, according to beat reporter Alan Hahn.
Insight: World Peace has little fantasy value these days, averaging just 5.7 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 0.7 apg in 22 games.

11/20/2013 5:48:00 PM
Description: According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, Knicks forward Metta World Peace (knee) will dress for Wednesday's game.
Insight: World Peace had his knee drained before missing his second straight game Tuesday at Detroit. He's not a good fantasy option.

11/19/2013 11:07:00 AM
Description: Knicks forward Metta World Peace is dealing with a sore left knee and is questionable for Tuesday's game against Detroit.
Insight: World Peace's role this season has been dependent on the opponent. He's averaging 24 minutes, 9.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.0 threes per game, making him a low-level fantasy option when healthy.

11/16/2013 6:39:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Metta World Peace is dealing with a sore left knee and won't play Saturday.
Insight: World Peace's role this season has been dependent on the opponent. He's averaging 24 minutes, 9.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.0 threes per game, making him a low-level fantasy option when healthy. Iman Shumpert and Tim Hardaway Jr. will likely absorb World Peace's minutes Saturday.

11/5/2013 10:36:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Metta World Peace had 18 points, six boards, three steals and two threes over a season-high 32 minutes Tuesday against the Bobcats.
Insight: World Peace had 17 points, four rebounds, one steal and two threes in just 21 minutes Sunday after opening the season with two forgettable games. He'll continue to offer inconsistent production as Knicks coach Mike Woodson changes his rotation frequently.

10/30/2013 10:29:00 PM
Description: Metta World Peace played 18 minutes and had four points, four rebounds and one steal in his Knicks regular season debut Wednesday against the Bucks.
Insight: World Peace attempted zero 3-pointers after taking 5.5 per game last season. While coach Mike Woodson is going to change his lineup based on the opponent and World Peace will get some starts, he doesn't need to be owned in any fantasy leagues.

10/30/2013 6:47:00 PM
Description: Neither Metta World Peace nor Andrea Bargnani will start New York's season opener against the Bucks on Wednesday.
Insight: Mike Woodson is rolling with Raymond Felton, Pablo Prigioni, Iman Shumpert, Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler as his starting five. Woodson plans on changing up the lineup on a game-by-game basis, however.

10/28/2013 8:27:00 PM
Description: Knicks coach Mike Woodson said he is considering starting Metta World Peace over Andrea Bargnani in the season opener, according to Ian Begley of ESPNNewYork.com.
Insight: Bargnani struggled mightily on defense and also only shot 38 percent during the preseason. Plus, starting World Peace would allow Carmelo Anthony to play power forward, where he played most of last season when he won the scoring title.

7/15/2013 3:30:00 PM
Description: Metta World Peace and the Knicks have agreed to a two-year, $3.2 million deal, according to Newsday's Al Iannazzone.
Insight: Peace is returning home. He was born and raised in New York and went to St. John's University. He's a complimentary player now, but can produce double digit points and a handful of rebounds per game.
