James, Allen headline NBA's All-Defensive Team
New York, NY (Sports Network) - Miami forward LeBron James and Memphis guard Tony Allen headline the 2012-13 NBA All-Defensive Team.
James and Allen each received 25 first-place votes in the balloting among the league's 30 head coaches. Allen finished with 53 points overall, while James had 52.
The other members of the first team were Clippers guard Chris Paul, Thunder forward Serge Ibaka and New York's Tyson Chandler and Chicago's Joakim Noah, who tied for the center position.
James was named to the first team for the fifth consecutive year, while Allen, Paul and Ibaka were first-team selections for a second straight season.
For the second straight year, the league's top defensive player was not among the first-team choices, as Memphis center Marc Gasol headlined the second team. Last year, Chandler won the individual award and was on the second team.
Joining Gasol on the second team were forwards Tim Duncan of San Antonio and Paul George of Indiana, and guards Avery Bradley of Boston and Mike Conley of Memphis.
