Description: Arizona manager Kirk Gibson told the Arizona Republic that the organization is going to take a cautious approach with starter Patrick Corbin\'s return. The 25-year-old may not make his first start next season until June.
Insight: The Diamondbacks have five pitchers, including Corbin, that will return from Tommy John surgery next year, so the club is committed to a slow rehabilitation process for its arms. Corbin had Tommy John surgery on March 25.
Description: Mets third baseman David Wright did not deny on Tuesday that his shoulder is hurting him, but Wright also did not blame his shoulder for his below average season.
Insight: Wright has denied in the past that he is still battling a shoulder injury, but after hitting coach Lamar Johnson said in an interview on Tuesday that the third baseman was struggling with his shoulder, Wright did nothing to deny it. He did, however, refuse to blame the shoulder for his well below average numbers this year. Wright is batting just .244 with two home runs in his last 44 games since the injury. He is now out with a minor neck issue. Seeing as he won\'t be healthy until next year, don\'t count on those numbers going up in September.
Description: ESPN\'s Adam Schefter reports Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (knee) remains in a "good spot".
Insight: The Patriots acquired tight end Tim Wright on Tuesday, so many experts have begun to wonder if Gronkowski will actually be completely healthy. Schefter says the purpose of the trade was to provide depth and open up some cap space. It also gives Bill Belichick the option to return to its two tight end sets, which the team really hasn\'t done since Aaron Hernandez\'s arrest.
Description: The Miami Herald speculates that Lamar Miller has the edge over Knowshon Moreno for the starting running back job.
Insight: Head coach Joe Philbin has been praising Miller all week saying statements such as, "I like everything Lamar has done since he\'s gotten here. He\'s had an excellent offseason and camp." Miller and Moreno have split the first-team carries, but Miller is supposed to be the guy for Week 1 and Moreno will move into the third down role.
Description: The Timberwolves have acquired Thaddeus Young as part of a three-team trade with Cleveland and Philadelphia.
Insight: Minnesota did a good job to get Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and Young for Kevin Love, who made it known that he was leaving in free agency anyway. Young was an underrated fantasy option last season, averaging 17.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.1 threes, 2.1 steals (third in the NBA) and 0.5 blocks per game. He\'ll start for the \'Wolves and should be the top offensive option as the team tries to replace Love\'s 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds per game.
Description: Anthony Bennett, the 2013 No. 1 overall pick, has been traded from the Cavaliers to the Timberwolves.
Insight: The initially rumored version of the three-team trade had Minnesota shipping Bennett to Philadelphia for Thaddeus Young, but the Timberwolves were able to snag Young for just Alexey Shved and Luc Mbah a Moute. Unfortunately, that means Bennett will be behind Young at power forward rather than starting for talent-starved Philadelphia. He should get his fair share of minutes but probably won\'t have much fantasy value.
Description: Left wing Clarke MacArthur and the Senators have come to terms on a five-year extension.
Insight: MacArthur went on to tell the Ottawa Sun that he will not change the way he plays the game. "Just because I\'ve got a five-year deal, that doesn\'t mean I need to change a whole lot. I kind of want to play the same game. I want to play good in both ends." MacArthur had 24 goals and 31 assists in his first season in Ottawa last year.
