Nash makes more Suns fantasy-worthy

Steve Nash averaged 15.7 points and 9.7 assists in 74 games last season.
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - With reports that Steve Nash has agreed to an extension (two years, $22 million) with the Phoenix Suns, those fantasy owners who have Nash and any other Suns players on their roster have to be happy.

Nash, with the consent of coach Alvin Gentry, will return the Phoenix offense to it's running ways which, in it's prime, made almost everyone on the team, fantasy worthy.

Do you remember in 2004-05 when the team had five players (Amare Stoudemire 26.0, Shawn Marion 19.4, Joe Johnson 17.1, Nash 15.5, Quentin Richardson 14.9) averaging 14.9 ppg-or-more? Or how about 2007-08 when Nash led a team that had seven players averaging double figures to a 55-27 record?

With Shaquille O'Neal now in Cleveland, the Suns are ready to run again.

The 35-year-old Nash averaged 15.7 points and 9.7 assists in 74 games last season. Those numbers figure to go up if the tempo increases. So too, will the numbers for Jason Richardson, Grant Hill, Leandro Barbosa and Amare Stoudemire (assuming he isn't traded too). Add to the mix the athletic rookie Earl Clark from Louisville and you have the makings of a very good up-tempo team who will make fantasy owners ecstatic.

Last year, Nash had an Average Draft Position (ADP) of 12, but with the news that the team will run again, he should easily move back into the top-10 in 2009-10
