Description: Free agent RB Cadillac Williams is reportedly generating a "behind the scenes buzz" at Rams Park. SOURCE: PRO FOOTBALL WEEKLY
Insight: We threw out a report not too long ago regarding Caddy going to St. Louis. That rumor now appears to be picking up steam. Even though he doesn't have the legs to be a legit starter anymore, Caddy would be a huge upgrade as a backup behind Steven Jackson.

Description: There is belief that free agent RB Cadillac Williams would be a good fit in St. Louis. SOURCE: ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
Insight: Even though Williams is no longer featured-back material, he would be a huge upgrade behind Steven Jackson. Williams has come on as a strong locker-room leader, which would benefit one of the youngest offenses in the league. But as nothing more than a third-down specialist, Caddy is no longer in the circle of fantasy prospects. Even drafting him as Jackson's handcuff, if the Rams do sign him, might be a reach. Jerious Norwood and Darren Sproles are also two possibilities mentioned along with Caddy.

Description: Williams had seven carries for 51 yards and a touchdown along with one catch for seven yards against the 49ers on Sunday.
Insight: Williams has now scored in back-to-back games, and is making the most of somewhat limited touches right now. (RapidDraft.com)

11/15/2010 11:03:00 AM
Description: Williams had five carries for 62 yards and a touchdown along with two catches for 23 yards against the Panthers on Sunday.
Insight: Williams has given way to LeGarrette Blount as Tampa Bay's early down back, but he still sees action on passing downs and is still worth a roster spot in fantasy leagues.(RapidDraft.com)

10/26/2010 3:00:00 PM
Description: The St. Petersburg Times reports Williams and LeGarrette Blount are expected to share the Buccaneers' backfield workload going forward.
Insight: Blount looks likely to handle early down work and goal line duty, while Williams may be left with third-down work. Earnest Graham may also be a factor in the team's backfield rotation. (RapidDraft.com)

10/25/2010 12:01:00 PM
Description: Williams had four carries for 12 yards along with eight catches for 34 yards and a touchdown against St. Louis on Sunday.
Insight: Williams appears to still have a role in Tampa Bay's offense, but his fantasy potential is limited if LeGarrette Blount is productive. (RapidDraft.com)

10/18/2010 11:05:00 AM
Description: Williams had 10 carries for 18 yards and seven receptions for 63 yards against the Saints on Sunday.
Insight: With injuries to Earnest Graham and Kareem Huggins, Williams may wind up being the Buccaneers' main ball carrier by default. (RapidDraft.com)

10/11/2010 12:04:00 PM
Description: Williams had 11 carries for 33 yards against Cincinnati on Sunday.
Insight: Williams had more carries than the other three Tampa Bay running backs (Earnest Graham, LeGarrette Blount, Kareem Huggins) combined, but did not do much with those opportunities. (RapidDraft.com)

10/5/2010 4:02:00 PM
Description: The St. Petersburg Times reports Williams will split carries with LeGarrette Blount and Kareem Huggins starting Week 5 against Cincinnati.
Insight: Williams may still see the majority of the carries, but Blount looks likely to see goal line work and Huggins could have a role on third down. The fantasy value of all involved is limited. (RapidDraft.com)

10/5/2010 4:00:00 PM
Description: The days of Cadillac Williams being the featured runner in Tampa Bay may soon come to an end, as he's off to his worst statistical start in his six-year career. SOURCE: ST. PETERSBURG TIMES
Insight: Williams said, "You can tell where the team is heading. It's not like they personally came to me, but you can just tell how things are headed. I mean, who knows? (We have) 13 straight weeks (of games remaining)." Earnest Graham and LaGarrette Blount figure to be used more and more each week.

9/27/2010 1:05:00 PM
Description: Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times expects Williams to start losing more carries to LeGarrette Blount after Tampa Bay's Week 4 bye.
Insight: Blount should at least start seeing some goal line work, which could make him worth consideration in TD-heavy leagues and be enough to severely limit Williams' fantasy value. (RapidDraft.com)

9/24/2010 2:57:00 PM
Description: Even though he is averaging a puny 2.57 yards per carry through two games, Buccaneers HC Raheem Morris expressed satisfaction with RB Cadillac Williams' performance so far. SOURCE: TAMPA TRIBUNE
Insight: Morris commented on how Williams gives the defense less time on the field and gives the offense more time to run out the clock, but they won't be able to continue to do that if Caddy can't muster up a better average. He has it rough against the Steelers this week.

9/22/2010 6:05:00 PM
Description: The St. Petersburg Times reports Williams (hamstring) was limited during Wednesday's practice.
Insight: Williams ranks second in the NFL with 49 carries through two games, and it now appears to have led to at least a minor injury. He has a bad matchup this week against Pittsburgh anyway. (RapidDraft.com)

9/20/2010 10:05:00 AM
Description: Williams had 27 carries for 51 yards along with one reception for eight yards against Carolina on Sunday.
Insight: Williams is clearly the Buccaneers' No. 1 running back, but he gets a very tough matchup against Pittsburgh in Week 4. (RapidDraft.com)

9/13/2010 11:02:00 AM
Description: Williams had 22 carries for 75 yards along with two catches for 23 yards in Tampa Bay's win over Cleveland on Sunday.
Insight: As long as Williams can avoid injury, he could be a solid but not great fantasy option most weeks. (RapidDraft.com)

8/25/2010 2:01:00 PM
Description: Williams could be in line for significant work this season.
Insight: With the uncertainty behind him on the Buccaneers' RB depth chart, the team may be forced to use Williams more. That is good news for his fantasy value, but his history of knee issues is worth noting. (Rapid Draft.com)

8/2/2010 4:14:00 PM
Description: The Tampa Tribune reports Buccaneers' head coach Raheem Morris said whichever RB develops the "hot hand" will get the bulk of the carries this season.
Insight: Williams is currently No. 1 on the depth chart, but Derrick Ward could also be a factor. This could be close to a 50-50 split in touches when it's all said and done. (Rapid Draft.com)

8/2/2010 3:53:00 PM
Description: Buccaneers HC Raheem Morris said that the running back that develops the "hot hand" will get the bulk of the carries this season. SOURCE: TAMPA TRIBUNE
Insight: Cadillac Williams still has the upper hand in regards to starting duties going into the season, but it sounds like the team wants to give Derrick Ward some more activity than he got last year. Between the "hot hand" comment and a committee supposedly already expected to take place, we can't recommend either player as anything more than a low-end flex this year.

8/2/2010 2:24:00 PM
Description: According to Buccaneers HC Raheem Morris, Buccaneers Cadillac Williams' sprained ankle is not serious. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: With Williams expected to return Monday afternoon, the opportunity for Derrick Ward to make his mark closed pretty fast.

6/24/2010 3:33:00 PM
Description: Pat Yasinskas of ESPN.com reports Williams is the "unquestioned starter" at running back for the Buccaneers.
Insight: Derrick Ward is also around, but Williams is more versatile and should open the season as the starter. Do be aware of a potential RBBC though if Williams gets off to a slow start. (SportsBuff.com)
