Description: Randy McMichae has re-signed with the Chargers. The contract is a two-year deal.
Insight: Phillip Rivers didn't look for McMichael very often in 2011 as McMichael finished with just 30 catches. McMichael only has 963 receiving yards combined over the last four seasons and he didn't score a touchdown last year so McMichael's fantasy value is pretty minimal heading into next season's draft.

12/17/2010 3:02:00 PM
Description: Randy McMichael had five receptions for 55 yards against the 49ers on Thursday night.
Insight: McMichael was targeted five time, reeling them all in. While his ability to break big plays after the catch has diminished at this point in his career, he proved he can still make plays. Although it was a nice performance, the chances of history repeating itself in week 16 are slim. (RapidDraft.com)

12/13/2010 2:01:00 PM
Description: Despite Antonio Gates' absence, McMichael caught just two passes Sunday for 26 yards.
Insight: McMichael has caught no more than two balls in any game this season. He might stand a better chance of finding the end zone when Gates is out, but all of his 2010 fantasy value came in one two-catch game at the Texans. (RapidDraft.com)

11/24/2010 3:04:00 PM
Description: The Chargers team website reports that coach Norv Turner expects TE Randy McMichael (hamstring) to be available against the Colts in Week 12.
Insight: If Antonio Gates doesn't play this weekend, none of the Chargers tight ends are worth picking up. McMichael is at risk of aggravating the injury and won't be worth starting. (RapidDraft.com)

11/23/2010 8:03:00 PM
Description: According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Randy McMichael is expected to be limited in practice this week after sustaining a hamstring injury Monday night.
Insight: The injuries just keep coming for the Chargers. Antonio Gates is still iffy, and if McMichael doesn't play this weekend, Kory Sperry could end up getting the starting nod. (RapidDraft.com)

1/5/2010 2:50:00 PM
Description: The Belleville News Democrat reports McMichael would like to return to the Rams next season.
Insight: McMichael is not likely to be wanted back by the Rams, as they should be looking to significantly overhaul their offensive skill positions. He is also unlikely to get much interest on the open market. (SportsBuff.com)

10/19/2009 4:36:00 PM
Description: According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, McMichael could be on the trading block as Tuesday's trade deadline approaches.
Insight: A change of scenery may benefit McMichael, depending on his role with a new team. (SportsBuff.com)

8/17/2009 12:59:00 PM
Description: McMichael has two catches for 25 yards in the Rams' first preseason game last Friday against the Jets.
Insight: With a new West Coast offense and an inexperienced corp of WRs, McMichael could become a primary target in the Rams' passing game. (SportsBuff.com)

4/14/2009 7:03:00 PM
Description: McMichael appeared in only four games with the Rams last season before being placed on season-ending IR with a broken leg and torn ligaments.
Insight: Before getting hurt, McMichael caught 11 passes for 139 yards. Heading into 2009, if he can stay healthy, McMichael re-emerge as a number one fantasy TE. (SportsBuff.com)

Out10/6/2008 9:37:00 PM
Description: The Rams announced Monday that McMichael will miss the rest of the season with his broken tibia. It was previously reported that he would miss at least six weeks.
Insight: Let's go out on a limb and project that he won't have much fantasy value for the rest of this season. (SportsBuff.com)

Out10/1/2008 7:49:00 AM
Description: McMichael broke his tibia and will be out for six weeks.
Insight: He has been a fantasy non-factor in St. Louis, but his absence won't help the Rams. He had been one of Marc Bulger's favorite targets, according to the Sporting News. (SportsBuff.com)

Out9/30/2008 11:53:00 AM
Description: Ram TE Randy McMichael will miss at least 6 weeks with a broken shin bone. That is not exactly what new head coach Jim Haslett needed to start off his tenure with the Rams.
Insight: Back-up TE's Anthony Becht and Joe Klopfenstien will share duties in McMichael's absence. Perhaps "Big Play" Torry Holt will see more balls thrown his way as well.
