Description: Knicks PF/C Kenyon Martin (ankle) will miss Thursday's game against the Cavaliers.
Insight: Martin missed five games with a left ankle sprain and then lasted just nine minutes in his return to action Tuesday before aggravating the injury. He's only averaging 4.3 points and 4.3 rebounds this season but gives the Knicks solid big man minutes and is needed with Andrea Bargnani and Amare Stoudemire out.

Description: Knicks PF/C Kenyon Martin will return to the lineup from his sprained left ankle on Tuesday, according to Chris Herring of the Wall Street Journal.

Description: Knicks PF/C Kenyon Martin will miss two weeks with a sprained left ankle.
Insight: Amare Stoudemire left Thursday's game with the same injury and has been ruled out the same amount of time as Martin. With Tyson Chandler still noticeably dealing with his upper respiratory issues, the Knicks may end up using Cole Aldrich and Jeremy Tyler for more minutes than they would like in addition to playing Andrea Bargnani at center.

Description: Knicks PF/C Kenyon Martin left Thursday's game with a sprained left ankle and is expected to miss "at least a few games," according to coach Mike Woodson.
Insight: Amare Stoudemire left the game with the same injury earlier and Tyson Chandler is still noticeably dealing with his upper respiratory issues, so the Knicks will end up using Cole Aldrich and Jeremy Tyler for more minutes than they would like.

Description: Knicks PF/C Kenyon Martin left Thursday's game with a sprained left ankle and will not return, according to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News.

Description: Knicks forward Kenyon Martin's limited fantasy value could come to and end if center Tyson Chandler returns after a four-game absence due to illness.
Insight: With Chandler back in the lineup, Martin's playing time is minimal and his fantasy value near zero. Martin averaged 7.2 ppg and 7.0 rpg over the past four games while Chandler has been sidelined.

Description: New York power forward Kenyon Martin wasn't in the lineup Monday against Washington and fantasy owners shouldn't expect him back anytime soon. SOURCE: Knicks on Twitter
Insight: He's missed the last two games with an abdominal strain. While he's out, the Knicks will employ Carmelo Anthony at power forward with J.R. Smith starting at the three. Amare Stoudemire should also see more minutes.

Insight: He strained his abdominal muscle late in Friday's loss to Boston. Amare Stoudemire (7.9 ppg, 3.5 rpg) and Metta World Peace (5.9 ppg) will both see more playing time if Martin (3.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg) can't go on Saturday.

12/10/2013 11:42:00 AM
Description: Knicks veteran power forward Kenyon Martin is questionable for Tuesday's game against Cleveland due to a sprained left ankle.

Description: Newsday's Al Iannazzone reports that the Knicks have reached a deal with veteran power forward Kenyon Martin.
Insight: No terms were released but it's likely he signed for the veteran's minimum. Martin won't fill up the stat sheet but he'll give the Knicks some muscle and athleticism in the low post. Last season, the 35-year-old averaged 7.2 ppg on 60.2 percent shooting.

5/14/2013 1:15:00 PM
Description: Knicks center Kenyon Martin (illness) made it through the morning shootaround and should be ready for Game 4.

Description: Knicks center Kenyon Martin returned from a two-game absence Tuesday but he suffered an ankle injury during the game. SOURCE: Alan Hahn, MSG Network
Insight: Martin had a few useful games in place of Tyson Chandler (neck) last month but he hasn't been able to stay healthy himself recently. X-rays were negative, but Martin will probably miss some time since the Knicks clinched the division Tuesday. Chris Copeland will get more playing time as a result.

4/9/2013 6:15:00 PM
Description: Kenyon Martin will start at center for the Knicks Tuesday against the Wizards.
Insight: Tyson Chandler (neck) will miss the game, but New York at least will get back Martin, who missed the last two games with a sore left knee.
