(Tuesday, April 22nd)

Final Score: Indiana 101, Atlanta 85

Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - It was a tale of two third quarters for the Indiana Pacers. In this one, there was more emotion, there was more intensity and a lot more celebratory chest bumping. Paul George had 27 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and four steals and the Pacers routed the Atlanta Hawks, 101-85, in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series on Tuesday night. The Pacers trailed 52-48 at the half, but outscored Atlanta 31-13 in the third and never looked back. They shot 75 percent (12-of-16) in the frame while limiting the Hawks to just a 25 percent clip (5-of-20) for the stanza. Indiana took a healthy 79-65 cushion into the fourth, where it led by as many as 27 before cruising to the easy triumph. Atlanta outscored Indiana 30-16 in the third period in Game 1 en route to a 101-93 triumph on Saturday night to become the first road team to defeat the Pacers twice this season. Indiana went 35-6 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse during the regular season. Game 3 of this best-of-seven set will be Thursday in Atlanta. Luis Scola posted 20 points and seven rebounds off the bench, while George Hill netted 10 of his 15 points in the third for Indiana, which has won at Philips Arena just twice since December of 2006. Paul Millsap put in 19 points and Jeff Teague added 14 points, five boards and four assists for the Hawks.

Final Score: Toronto 100, Brooklyn 95

Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - DeMar DeRozan scored 30 points and made two big baskets down the stretch, helping the Toronto Raptors draw even in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series with the Brooklyn Nets with a hard- earned 100-95 decision at Air Canada Centre. DeRozan shook off a 3-of-13 shooting performance in Toronto's Game 1 loss to the Nets on Saturday by burying a pair of clutch jumpers late, with the first breaking an 85-85 tie with 2:45 left and the next extending the lead to four on the ensuing possession. The Raptors held off the Nets the rest of the way to send this best-of-seven set deadlocked at 1-1 to the Barclays Center for Friday's Game 3. Amir Johnson aided Toronto's cause with 16 points and nine rebounds, with Jonas Valanciunas posting 15 points and 14 boards in the Raptors' first playoff win since 2008. Joe Johnson paced the Nets with 18 points and Deron Williams netted 15 in the loss. Paul Pierce, who scored nine points in the final three minutes in Brooklyn's 94-87 Game 1 triumph, managed just seven while going 2-of-11 from the field.

Final Score: Washington 101, Chicago 99 (OT)

Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Washington Wizards' young backcourt of Bradley Beal and John Wall have arrived. Beal had 26 points and seven rebounds, Wall added 16 points, seven assists and five boards and the Washington Wizards rallied for a 101-99 overtime win over the Chicago Bulls to take a 2-0 lead in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal. Washington overcame a 13-point deficit in Game 1 and a 10-point fourth-quarter bulge to force an extra session Tuesday. With the Bulls down two, Kirk Hinrich drove in for a layup and drew a foul on Nene with 2.4 seconds left in overtime. Hinrich, though, missed the first free throw. He tried to clank the second freebie off the front of the rim, but Wall came down with the rebound to seal the outcome. Nene tallied 17 points and seven rebounds for the fifth-seeded Wizards, who took their first 2-0 advantage in an NBA playoff series since 1982 when they swept the New Jersey Nets in the then best-of-three first round. They had never gone on the road to win their first two games of a series. D.J. Augustin netted 25 points off the bench, Taj Gibson provided 22 points and 10 rebounds and Joakim Noah supplied 20 points and 12 boards for Chicago. Game 3 is Friday night in Washington.
