Description: According to ESPN New York, Yankees reliever David Robertson (oblique) will be out at least two more weeks.
Insight: Robertson won't return from the disabled list until mid-June at the earliest, Yankees GM Brian Cashman said. Rafael Soriano has seized the closer role for New York, converting all six save chances with a 1.96 ERA on the season. However, he hasn't been perfect, as his 1.53 WHIP indicates, so there is always a chance Robertson could get the job back. Still, expect him to reassume his eighth inning role initially when he returns from the DL.

Description: According to the Yankees' official website, David Robertson (oblique) is expected to begin his rehab work Thursday.
Insight: Robertson won't return from the disabled list when he's eligible on Sunday, but don't rule him out for the first week of June. Yankees manager Joe Girardi wouldn't commit either way to Robertson or Rafael Soriano as his closer when Robertson returns, but we can't see Soriano losing the role based on his past experience and Robertson's excellence in the eighth inning. Soriano is 3-for-3 in save chances with a 2.35 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 15 1/3 innings this season.

Description: David Robertson is expected to miss about three weeks with a left oblique strain. He has been placed on the 15-day DL.
Insight: Rafael Soriano (2-0, 2.57 ERA) will handle the closing duties while Robertson is out and it's not unfamiliar territory for the veteran righthander. Soriano led the American League with 45 saves as a member of the Tampa Bay Rays back in 2010.

Description: Joe Girardi hinted that closer David Robertson probably wouldn't be available to pitch Thursday against Tampa Bay.
Insight: Robertson (0-1, 2.63 ERA) had a tough night Wednesday (3 H, BB, 4 ERs in 0.2 innings), blowing the save and taking the loss. He also pitched on Tuesday so Robertson has to be a little worn out right now. Rafael Soriano (2-0, 2.25) will probably get the call if the Yankees find themselves in a save situation tonight.

Description: David Robertson picked up his first save of the season on Tuesday against Tampa Bay.
Insight: Robertson gave up a hit and walked two, but worked out of the jam to record the Yankees first save since Mariano Rivera went down with a torn ACL. Robertson is known as Houdini for a reason, as he's shown the propensity to work out of trouble unscathed, and his first save opportunity continued that. Expect top-5 closer numbers the rest of the way.

Description: David Robertson is expected to be the team's closer with Mariano Rivera likely out for the season.
Insight: Robertson has a 0.93 ERA over the last two seasons, throwing 77 2/3 innings and striking out 118 batters. However, there will obviously be a ton of pressure on whoever is trying to replace the great Rivera, so there's a chance Robertson struggles. Still, he's a must-add.

Description: Robertson expects to again be a big part of the Yankees bullpen this season.
Insight: Robertson was 2-1 with a 3.30 ERA in 45 appearances over three stints, holding opponents to a .216 batting average last season with the Yankees. (SportsBuff.com)
