Description: White Sox infielder Tyler Greene is 5-for-11 against Blue Jays left-hander J.A. Happ with a pair of home runs and a 1.545 OPS.
Insight: Greene is one of Chicago's second base options with Gordon Beckham sidelined. He went 2-for-3 on Monday, but sat as Jeff Keppinger started on Tuesday. Greene should get the nod for Wednesday's game with this favorable matchup.

Description: Infielder Tyler Greene was traded to the Astros Thursday for cash or a player to be named later.
Insight: Greene (.218, 4 HR, 19 RBI) played second base in St. Louis but he'll likely be the starting shortstop for the Astros until Jed Lowrie returns from an ankle injury.

Description: Tyler Greene had a career-day Sunday against the Astros. The St. Louis second baseman went 3-3 with a double and a pair of homers. He also recorded a walk and a stolen base.
Insight: Greene only has 43 at bats this season so he isn't a strong fantasy play in the least. Sunday was probably a fluke but if Greene can keep having games like this on a consistent basis you can definitely expect manager Mike Matheny to reward him with more playing time, and then he might have some fantasy value.

Description: The Cardinals have recalled Greene from Triple-A Memphis.
Insight: Greene could see time at 2B, SS, and 3B for the Cardinals over the final weeks of the season, but he is not a strong fantasy option. (RapidDraft.com)

8/2/2010 12:08:00 PM
Description: The St. Louis Post Dispatch reports Greene (hand) will undergo an MRI on his right hand on Tuesday.
Insight: Greene was placed on the 15-day DL on Sunday. He is hitting .265 with two home runs and eight RBI in 68 at-bats this season. (SportsBuff.com)

7/19/2010 12:44:00 PM
Description: The St. Louis Post Dispatch reports Greene (hand) was unavailable on Sunday due to a bruised right hand.
Insight: Greene and Brendan Ryan should continue to split time at SS for St. Louis, which renders both guys useless for fantasy owners. (SportsBuff.com)
