Center Player Notes
For The Last 15 Days

Andrew Bynum, C, IND4/17/2014 8:48:00 PM
Description: Pacers center Andrew Bynum won't play in the first round against Atlanta. SOURCE: Scott Agness, Pacers.com
Insight: Fluid buildup in Bynum's knee has kept him out since March 15th. It would be very surprising to see Bynum (8.7 ppg, 5.6 rpg) play at any point during Indiana's postseason run.
DeAndre Jordan, C, LAC4/16/2014 10:02:00 PM
Description: Clippers center DeAndre Jordan will play Wednesday against Portland but not for very long. SOURCE: Arash Markazi, ESPN Los Angeles
Insight: He's just trying to keep his games played streak alive. Ryan Hollins (2.3 ppg) and Big Baby Davis (9.5 ppg, 5.1 rpg) should see most of the playing time at center Wednesday in the regular season finale.
Enes Kanter, C, UTA4/16/2014 7:59:00 PM
Description: Quad tendinitis will prevent Jazz center Enes Kanter from suiting up Wednesday against Minnesota. SOURCE: David Locke, Jazz radio play-by-play
Insight: It's only Kanter's second absence of the year. Erik Murphy (0.3 ppg, 0.3 rpg) is active and could wind up starting in Kanter's place.
Omer Asik, C, HOU4/16/2014 7:49:00 PM
Description: Rockets center Omer Asik is getting the night off Wednesday versus New Orleans. SOURCE: Craig Ackerman, Rockets play-by-play
Insight: Asik (5.8 ppg, 7.9 rpg) was relevant for two weeks when Dwight Howard was out with an ankle injury but that's already come and gone. He'll play sparingly during the postseason.
Tim Duncan, F/C, SAN4/16/2014 6:47:00 PM
Description: San Antonio F/C Tim Duncan won't be available for Wednesday's regular season finale. SOURCE: Jeff McDonald, San Antonio Express-News

Kevin Garnett, C, BRK4/16/2014 6:42:00 PM
Description: Nets center Kevin Garnett won't be in the lineup Wednesday for the regular season finale. SOURCE: Rod Boone, Newsday
Insight: Garnett barely played in the second half, sitting out 19 games because of back spasms. Mason Plumlee (7.4 ppg, 4.4 rpg) and Andray Blatche (11.1 ppg, 5.3 rpg) are both better fantasy options than KG at this point.
Chris Andersen, F/C, MIA4/16/2014 6:32:00 PM
Description: Miami F/C Chris Andersen won't be in action Wednesday against Philadelphia. SOURCE: Keith Pompey, Philly Inquirer
Insight: Birdman is getting some much needed rest before the playoffs. His absence will open up minutes for Rashard Lewis (4.5 ppg) and Udonis Haslem (3.7 ppg) at power forward.
Jared Sullinger, C, BOS4/16/2014 5:44:00 PM
Description: Boston PF/C Jared Sullinger will sit Wednesday versus the Wizards. SOURCE: Gary Washburn, Boston Globe
Insight: He's missed the last two games with a sprained ankle. Sullinger (13.3 ppg, 8.1 rpg) took major steps in 2013-14 and could be in for a breakout season if Kris Humphires leaves in free agency as he's expected to.
Jermaine O'Neal, C, GSW4/16/2014 2:21:00 PM
Description: Warriors C/PF Jermaine O'Neal (rest) will miss the last game of the regular season Wednesday against the Nuggets, according to Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Insight: Andrew Bogut is out indefinitely with a fractured rib, so Golden State is going to need to get a lot out of the 35-year-old O'Neal (7.9 ppg, 5.5 rpg) in the postseason.
Chris Kaman, C, LAL4/16/2014 1:20:00 PM
Description: Lakers center Chris Kaman (strained calf) will not play Wednesday in the regular season finale, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

Roy Hibbert, C, INDCold4/15/2014 10:47:00 PM
Description: Indiana center Roy Hibbert will start the regular season finale Wednesday against the Magic, but he is only expected to play the first half, according to Scott Agness of pacers.com.
Insight: Paul George, Lance Stephenson and David West will rest tomorrow, but the Pacers need Hibbert to have a positive performance going into the playoffs. He went 2-for-22 from he field over his last three games and averaged 8.6 ppg on .356 shooting his last 17 games. That's unacceptable for a 7-foot-2 player.
Cole Aldrich, C, NYK4/15/2014 10:46:00 PM
Description: Cole Aldrich was New York's top performer Tuesday in a win over Brooklyn.
Insight: He netted 13 points to go with 13 rebounds. Both totals were season-highs. Aldrich played 25 minutes for the Knicks and should see a similar workload in tomorrow's season finale against the Raptors.

Description: Houston center Dwight Howard had 20 points and 17 rebounds in 31 minutes Monday against the Spurs.

Andrew Bogut, C, GSW4/14/2014 9:22:00 PM
Description: Warriors center Andrew Bogut (fractured rib) said he has been advised that the rib is too close to the right lung to play through the pain, according to Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle. That means he may have to miss the entirety of the postseason.
Insight: Bogut (7.3 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 1.8 bpg) took a shot to the ribs in overtime Sunday night and sustained a fracture. If he plays with the injury there's a risk he'll suffer a punctured lung. The Warriors are going to have to get more out of Jermaine O'Neal and Draymond Green than expected in the playoffs.
Andrew Bogut, C, GSW4/14/2014 8:51:00 PM
Description: Warriors center Andrew Bogut is out indefinitely due to a fractured rib, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports.

DeMarcus Cousins, C, SAC4/14/2014 7:01:00 PM
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins will be suspended for Wednesday's game against the Suns without pay for receiving his 16th technical foul of the season, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports.
Insight: Cousins has averaged a monstrous 27.9 points, 12.3 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.4 blocks over his last eight games, but he let his temper get the better of him again on Sunday and he'll miss the season finale. That 23-year-old will finish with averages of 22.7 points, 11.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks in 71 games this season.
Tiago Splitter, C, SAN4/14/2014 6:58:00 PM
Description: Spurs center Tiago Splitter (rest) will not play Monday, according to Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News.
Insight: Splitter is averaging just 21.5 minutes, 8.1 points and 6.1 rebounds this season. Boris Diaw should see more minutes with Splitter out.
Jared Sullinger, C, BOS4/14/2014 5:06:00 PM
Description: Celtics PF/C Jared Sullinger (ankle) will miss Monday's game, according to A. Sherrod Blakely of csnne.com.
Insight: He's out with a left ankle sprain. Kris Humphries (knee) is also out, so Brandon Bass and Kelly Olynyk should get most of the frontcourt minutes against the 76ers.
Chris Bosh, C, MIA4/14/2014 2:12:00 PM
Description: Heat center Chris Bosh is expected to miss Monday's game against Washington.
Insight: Bosh and James are going to rest for the playoff run. It appears Mario Chalmers, Dwyane Wade, Michael Beasley, Shane Battier and Udonis Haslem will start on Monday.
Chris Kaman, C, LAL4/14/2014 2:06:00 PM
Description: Lakers center Chris Kaman (strained calf) participated in a light practice on Saturday and could possibly make an appearance in the final two games.
Insight: He didn't play Sunday, his sixth consecutive missed game. His absence has allowed Jordan Hill (two straight double-doubles) and Ryan Kelly to start in the frontcourt with Pau Gasol (vertigo) also still sidelined.
Andrew Bogut, C, GSW4/14/2014 1:55:00 PM
Description: Warriors center Andrew Bogut is questionable for Monday's game against Minnesota.
Insight: Bogut (7.3 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 1.8 bpg) took a shot to the ribs in overtime Sunday night. We're still await word on the x-rays. Jermaine O'Neal (7.9 ppg, 5.5 rpg) would start if Bogut can't go.

Description: Bulls center Joakim Noah missed a triple-double by one assist Sunday at New York, picking up 13 points, 17 rebounds and nine dimes in the loss.

Description: Magic center Nikola Vucevic (Achilles) is done for the season, according to John Denton of orlandomagic.com.

Kelly Olynyk, C, BOS4/13/2014 9:17:00 AM
Description: Boston C/PF Kelly Olynyk poured in 25 points Saturday in a 111-99 victory over the Cavs.
Insight: Olynyk's 12 rebounds were a career-high. Jared Sullinger and Kris Humphries were both absent on Saturday, which is probably why Olynyk was able to log 39 minutes. He's overachieved as a rookie, leading all first-year big men in points (8.2 ppg) and rebounds (5.1 rpg) despite being the No. 13 pick in the draft.
Al Jefferson, C, CHA4/13/2014 9:09:00 AM
Description: Bobcats center Al Jefferson muscled his way to 29 points and 12 rebounds Saturday against Philadelphia.
Insight: The wins give Charlotte its first .500 season since 2010. Jefferson has been the most dominant center in professional hoops since the All-Star break, leading all NBA big men with 25.0 ppg in 27 second half appearances.
DeMarcus Cousins, C, SAC4/12/2014 10:32:00 PM
Description: Kings center DeMarcus Cousins notched 32 points, 12 boards, five assists, two blocks and a pair of steals Saturday in a loss to the Clippers.
Insight: Don't get too excited. The 32 points came on just 12-of-27 shooting (44.4 percent). Still, you have to respect Boogie's consistency. That was the 23-year-old's seventh consecutive double-double.

Description: Celtics PF/C Jared Sullinger will take a seat Saturday against the Cavaliers. SOURCE: Steve Bullpet, Boston Herald

Dwight Howard, C, HOU4/12/2014 6:27:00 PM
Description: Houston center Dwight Howard will be active for Saturday's game against New Orleans. SOURCE: Jenny Dial Creech, Houston Chronicle
Insight: It's the first time he's played since March 27th. The Rockets are also getting Patrick Beverley back from a torn meniscus. Head coach Kevin McHale hinted that he would be cautious with both players in their first games back so don't expect Howard (18.5 ppg, 12.3 rpg) or Beverley (9.9 ppg) to see their usual minutes.
Dwight Howard, C, HOU4/12/2014 11:30:00 AM
Description: Houston center Dwight Howard (ankle) has missed the past eight games and is questionable for Saturday's game against New Orleans.

Description: The Heat will have PF/C Chris Andersen (back, knee) available for Friday's game, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.

Description: Sixers F/C Byron Mullens (ankle) is probable for Friday's game against Memphis.
Insight: Mullens missed six straight games. He has averaged just 13.1 minutes per game with the 76ers, though that's nearly seven more than he was getting with the Clippers. He's got no fantasy value.
Greg Oden, C, MIA4/10/2014 6:27:00 PM
Description: Brian Windhorst of ESPN doesn't think Heat center Greg Oden (back) will be back this season.
Insight: "I don't think Greg Oden is going to play the rest of the season to be honest," Windhorst said. "I think Roy Hibbert broke him." Oden last played on March 26 at Indiana.

Description: Magic center Nikola Vucevic won't be in action Wednesday versus Brooklyn. SOURCE: John Denton, OrlandoMagic.com

Gorgui Dieng, C, MIN4/9/2014 9:42:00 AM
Description: Minnesota center Gorgui Dieng is quietly becoming a fantasy super-hero. Tuesday was his fourth 15-rebound game in his last 11 appearances.
Insight: Certainly none of this would be possible if Nikola Pekovic were healthy. But because he's not, the opportunistic Dieng (12 points, 15 rebounds on Tuesday) is quickly approaching must-start status. Give him a look Wednesday against Chicago.
Enes Kanter, C, UTA4/9/2014 9:37:00 AM
Description: Jazz center Enes Kanter collected 15 points and 19 rebounds Tuesday in a loss to Dallas.
Insight: That's Kanter's highest rebounding total of the season. While many teams will be resting their starters down the stretch, Utah's rotation shouldn't see any sweeping changes over the final four games of the season. Make sure to have Kanter (12.1 ppg, 7.3 rpg) in your starting lineup Friday against Portland.
DeMarcus Cousins, C, SAC4/9/2014 9:27:00 AM
Description: Boogie Cousins paced the Kings with 24 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks Tuesday in a loss to OKC.
Insight: Cousins (22.3 ppg, 11.6 rpg) is pretty much a guaranteed double-double any time he steps on the court. He's certainly deserving of making the All-NBA team, though voters might pass over him because Sacramento hasn't had a good season (27-51, third-worst record in the Western Conference).
Andre Drummond, C, DETHot4/8/2014 10:09:00 PM
Description: Detroit center Andre Drummond had 19 points, 17 rebounds, two blocks and two steals Tuesday at Atlanta.

Chris Andersen, F/C, MIA4/8/2014 8:13:00 PM
Description: Miami PF/C Chris Andersen is back in the lineup Tuesday against Brooklyn. SOURCE: Ira Winderman, South Florida Sun-Sentinel
Insight: Birdman missed Sunday's game with knee and back injuries. He could see a decent workload on Wednesday with Greg Oden (back) and Udonis Haslem (illness) both out of the lineup.
Andray Blatche, F/C, BRK4/8/2014 7:54:00 PM
Description: Brooklyn will be without center Andray Blatche Tuesday against the Heat. SOURCE: Andy Vasquez, The Record
Insight: He's battling an illness. It's a shame because Blatche (11.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg) really could have exploited Miami's lack of size in the low post. Rookie Mason Plumlee (6.8 ppg, 4.1 rpg) should see a heavy workload at center.
Dwight Howard, C, HOU4/8/2014 6:51:00 PM
Description: Houston center Dwight Howard is officially out for Tuesday night's game against the Lakers. SOURCE: Jason Friedman, Rockets.com
Insight: It's the sixth game he's missed with a sprained ankle. That means more minutes for 7-footer Omer Asik (12.0 ppg, 16.8 rpg over his last five games).
Kendrick Perkins, C, OKC4/8/2014 5:37:00 PM
Description: Thunder center Kendrick Perkins (groin) will play Tuesday and Wednesday, according to Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman.
Insight: Perkins returned from a groin injury last Thursday but sat out Friday and wasn't expected to play in back-to-backs the rest of the season. However, he'll be available for the next two. He's not a good fantasy option.
Nikola Pekovic, C, MIN4/8/2014 2:48:00 PM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (ankle) is expected to miss Tuesday's game against San Antonio
Insight: This will be Pekovic's four straight absence and his 23rd since Jan. 29 due to a right ankle injury. Rookie Gorgui Dieng has averaged 12.3 points and 11.7 rebounds in nine starts.
Dwight Howard, C, HOU4/8/2014 2:43:00 PM
Description: Rockets center Dwight Howard (ankle) is expected to miss Tuesday's game against the LA Lakers.
Insight: So much for Howard visiting Los Angeles and all the fun that could come from that meeting. Howard's goal is to be ready for playoff time. Omer Asik has grabbed 84 rebounds over the past five games (16.8 rpg). Asik posted 18 points and 23 boards last time out.
Jared Sullinger, C, BOS4/7/2014 8:46:00 PM
Description: Boston C/F Jared Sullinger expects to play Wednesday against the Hawks despite sitting out Monday's practice with a quad injury. SOURCE: Gary Washburn, Boston Globe
Insight: Sullinger has had his moments this season, averaging 13 points and 7.8 rpg since the All-Star break. He should get more playing time in 2014-15 after Kris Humphries (8.5 ppg, 5.9 rpg) inevitably leaves in free agency.
Chris Kaman, C, LAL4/7/2014 8:17:00 PM
Description: Lakers center Chris Kaman will miss his fourth consecutive game Tuesday against the Rockets.
Insight: He's out with a calf strain. Jordan Hill (9.2 ppg, 7.3 rpg) filled in at center Sunday versus the Clippers and should get the start there again on Tuesday.

Description: Houston center Omer Asik contributed 18 points, 23 rebounds, three steals and three blocked shots Sunday in a win against Denver.
Insight: Asik has been marvelous over the last five games, averaging 12.0 ppg, 16.8 rpg and 1.2 bpg during that stretch. His Achilles heel continues to be poor free throw shooting (59.3 percent for the season) but that's easy to overlook when you're getting a double-double every night.
DeMarcus Cousins, C, SAC4/6/2014 8:55:00 PM
Description: Sacramento center DeMarcus Cousins exploded for 28 points, ten rebounds and two blocks Sunday in a loss to the Mavs.
Insight: That's his 49th double-double of the season. Cousins' scoring average this season (22.3 ppg) is the highest by a King since Kevin Martin put up 24.6 ppg during the 2008-09 campaign.
Roy Hibbert, C, INDCold4/6/2014 8:33:00 PM
Description: Indiana center Roy Hibbert was benched for the second half of Sunday's loss to Atlanta.

Pero Antic, C, ATL4/6/2014 4:54:00 PM
Description: Hawks center Pero Antic (sore right ankle) will be a game-time decision Sunday, according to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Insight: He's dealing with soreness in his right ankle, the same ankle he had a stress fracture in earlier this season. The center has averaged 9.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.5 threes in 22 starts this season. If he can't go, Elton Brand will start in his place.
Greg Oden, C, MIA4/6/2014 12:36:00 PM
Description: Heat center Greg Oden (back spasms) will not play Sunday against the Knicks, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.
Insight: Oden and Chris Andersen are both out, so the team will need Udonis Haslem, Shane Battier, Rashard Lewis and Michael Beasley to play extra frontcourt minutes to spell Chris Bosh.
Chris Andersen, F/C, MIA4/6/2014 12:34:00 PM
Description: Heat PF/C Chris Anderson (knee, back) will not play Sunday, according to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel.
Insight: Knee and back injuries will ground the Birdman, who has averaged 8.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.9 blocks over his last 16 games. Miami will spread his minutes out to several players, including Chris Bosh, Shane Battier, Michael Beasley, Udonis Haslem and Rashard Lewis.

Insight: Valanciunas had 17 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and one block Saturday against the Bucks. Toronto played the 21-year-old only 27.2 minutes per game over his first 63 games but has given him 32.4 per contest over the last 13.
John Henson, C, MIL4/6/2014 10:29:00 AM
Description: Bucks center John Henson put up 23 points, nine rebounds, six assists, three blocks and one steal in 39 minutes Saturday against Toronto.
Insight: Henson hadn't played that many minutes since Feb. 8 and he only saw that many because Zaza Pachulia picked up four personal fouls in nine minutes. For some reason, the Bucks have been reluctant to turn Henson loose (probably because they are trying to lose every game at this point), even with Ersan Ilyasova and Larry Sanders done for the season . Henson has averaged just 23.9 minutes per game over his last 24 games.

Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic (ankle) will miss Saturday's game, according to Andy Greder of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Description: According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, Lakers center Chris Kaman will sit out again Sunday due to a calf strain.

Nikola Pekovic, C, MIN4/5/2014 1:20:00 PM
Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game against Orlando, but in reality its closer to out.
Insight: Ankle issues have limited Pekovic to just ten games since the All-Star break and at this point in the season, there's no reason for Pekovic to come back and risk getting hurt again.
Al Jefferson, C, CHA4/4/2014 10:31:00 PM
Description: Charlotte center Al Jefferson poured in 29 points Friday in a win over the Magic.
Insight: He also had 16 rebounds. With the win, the Bobcats moved to 38-38 for the season. It's the first time Charlotte has been at .500 since November 23rd.

Description: Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic will take a seat Friday against the Heat. SOURCE: Jerry Zygoda, Minneapolis Star Tribune
Insight: Ankle issues have limited Pekovic to just ten games since the All-Star break. At this point in the season, there's no reason for Pekovic to come back and risk getting hurt again. Gorgui Dieng (3.6 ppg, 4.1 rpg) is the guy you want to own in fantasy.
Anderson Varejao, C, CLE4/4/2014 7:06:00 PM
Description: Cavs center Anderson Varejao is active for Friday night's game against the Hawks. SOURCE: Cleveland Plain Dealer
Insight: He missed a game earlier this week with a shoulder injury. It's unknown if Varejao will be on any kind of minutes restriction. Either way, it's hard to trust him with Spencer Hawes averaging 30 mpg.

Description: Thunder center Kendrick Perkins returned to the lineup Thursday against San Antonio, though he played just 12 minutes and won't play in back-to-back games.
