Insight: The Magic are giving their minutes to younger players. Turkoglu has played 11 games this season. He broke his hand in the season opener and was suspended 20 games for testing positive for a banned substance. Harrington missed most of the season with a knee injury and has played just 10 games. Both are recovered from their injuries now but the Magic need to see Tobias Harris, Maurice Harkless and Andrew Nicholson.

Insight: Redick has scored 13 or more points in six of seven games this month. He's averaging a career-high 13.9 ppg despite struggling from 3-point range. Even Friday's 4-of-7 only brings his season percentage to .337 from behind the arc.
Description: Magic point guard Jameer Nelson had 10 points and 11 assists with three rebounds, a steal and just one turnover Friday against Golden State, offsetting a cold night from the floor.
Insight: Nelson shot 4-of-14 to drop his season shooting percentage to 39.6 in 15 games. Nelson is still a fantasy-worthy point guard due to his 12.6 points, 6.3 assists, 4.2 rebounds 1.4 steals and a .923 free-throw percentage.
Description: Magic power forward Glen Davis had a streak of 16 straight double digit scoring efforts snapped Friday when he scored eight points with two rebounds against the Warriors.
Insight: Davis barely made the mark Wednesday with 10 points on 2-of-11 shooting. Keep starting him; he's averaging 15.5 ppg through 22 games and has blocked 10 shots in seven December games after rejecting just five total in all of November.
Description: Magic center Nikola Vucevic pulled down a career-high 17 rebounds with 12 points Friday in a win over Golden State.
Insight: Vucevic has started all 22 games for the Magic this season and has no competition for the starting center job. He's averaging solid numbers as well -- 9.7 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.
Description: An Orlando Sentinel report suggests Moe Harkless could be in danger of losing his spot as the Magic's starting small forward.
Insight: Harkless has struggled mightily in his last six appearances, contributing just 1.7 ppg over that span. If the rookie is forced to the bench, we'd likely see J.J. Redick (13.8 ppg, 5 apg) move into the starting lineup as a second shooting guard.

Insight: Redick is having his strongest season as a pro, averaging 13.8 points and 5.1 assists per game, both career highs. Curiously, however, he's only shooting 33.7 percent from 3-point range on a career-high 4.7 attempts per game.

Insight: A report from John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com suggests the setback could add another month to Turkoglu's recovery time. With Turkoglu out, the Magic have been using Arron Afflalo at the three with J.J. Redick and E'Twuan Moore starting at the two guard positions.
Description: Magic forward Maurice Harkless had by far his best performance of the season Tuesday against the Knicks. He gave Orlando 10 points, seven rebounds and four blocks.
Insight: Harkless missed all of training camp while recovering from an offseason hernia operation and sat out the first three games of the season. The Magic have been searching for a starting small forward with Hedo Turkoglu out so the 19-year-old Harkless' role may continue to grow.

Insight: Redick started off the season with two 20-point efforts and while he's been effective since he hasn't quite returned to that level. That makes Tuesday's performance, his second straight start, important for fantasy owners. Redick is also averaging 5.6 assists per game. He's more valuable now than he's ever been.

Description: Magic guard E'Twaun Moore has scored in double figures in all three games this season, including 17 on 7-of-13 shooting Tuesday against the Bulls.
Insight: Moore is starting in place of the injured Jameer Nelson. In addition to his scoring, Moore has also provided solid production in rebounding (4.3), assists (3.7), steals (1.0) and 3-pointers (7-of-10). He's someone to watch to see what his role will be when Nelson returns.

Insight: Davis is averaging 25.5 ppg and 9.0 rpg after a couple of games and though we're not sure he can continue to score at this pace, he'll be the Magic's No. 1 inside option.
Description: Magic guard J.J. Redick came off the bench and went 7-of-11 with three 3-pointers for 21 points in Friday's season opener against the Nuggets.
Insight: Reddick also had six assists and four rebounds. The guard will come off the bench behind Aaron Afflalo (7 points, 3-13 FG) for the time being but Orlando will count on his scoring with few proven options on the perimeter. We should see Redick's ppg average increase for the fifth straight season.

Insight: Davis scored 29 points with 10 rebounds and two blocks on 13-of-25 shooting. The forward stepped up at the end of last season and had a strong preseason. If he's available in your league be sure to scoop him up.
Description: Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu broke his left hand Friday, according to John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com.
Insight: Turkoglu played 17 minutes and scored six points on 3-of-4 shooting but he will be out for an extended period of time. The Magic didn't immediately announce a timetable.

Description: Orlando forward Hedo Turkoglu has been sitting out with back spasms the past few days.
Insight: Turkoglu will be asked to play a bigger role on offense this season now that Dwight Howard has moved on to Los Angeles. The increased shot volume could potentially lift Turkoglu's PPG but that could also be offset by the fact that he'll be double-teamed more than he was when Dwight was on the team. Realistically, Turkoglu is on the wrong end of 33 years old and probably won't be a particularly useful fantasy player during the 2012-13 campaign.
Description: Glen "Big Baby" Davis may have been a bit player in Boston, but it appears he'll be a go-to guy in Orlando with high fantasy value.
Insight: Davis is averaging 18.7 ppg and 8.3 rpg in three preseason games and will be the Magic's primary inside threat. He should be a solid fantasy selection after all the big names are gone.
Description: Josh Robbins from the Orlando Sentinel is reporting that center Gustavo Ayon will play for the Magic in 2012-13.
Insight: This puts to rest the rumors that Ayon might play overseas this season. For now Ayon is penciled in as the team's starter at center, though his contributions on the fantasy level should be pretty limited.
Description: After a few weeks of inactivity, Dwight Howard trade talks have heated up again. The latest trade scenario has Howard and forward All Harrington headed to the Lakers with the Magic acquiring Pau Gasol and Arron Afflalo. Denver would receive Andre Iguodala as part of the deal with Andrew Bynum going to the 76ers. ESPN's Chris Broussard says the deal is imminent.
Insight: This would be the blockbuster to end all blockbusters and at first glance, it should benefit all four teams involved. Broussard reports that Orlando would also get draft picks and salary cap relief as part of the trade. If this trade come to fruition, the trio of Kobe Bryant, Howard and Steve Nash should challenge Oklahoma City's big three of Kevin Durant, James Harden and Russell Westbrook for Western Conference supremacy next season.
Description: Magic center Dwight Howard met with team officials Wednesday as they attempted to change his mind on a long-term committment. However, Howard reiterated that he won't sign an extension and wants a trade.
Insight: Howard (20.6 ppg, 14.5 rpg, 2.1 bpg) will put up numbers regardless of where he lands, even if he's forced to stay with the Magic for another season. We just hope this situation is resolved soon so both parties can move on.
Description: Magic center Dwight Howard said earlier this summer that he'd only sign a long-term contract with the Nets but it appears that he's changed his mind. Now the six-time NBA All-Star says that he'd be excited to join the Lakers and would be willing to commit long-term to the team if they are able to trade for him.
Insight: Howard (20.6 ppg, 14.5 rpg, 2.1 bpg) changing his mind about something, what else is new? Still, this looks like major progress in Howard's "Indecision 2012." Sensing that Brooklyn is no longer an option, it appears Howard is willing to give Los Angeles a try. The signing of free agent point guard Steve Nash (12.5 ppg, 10.7 rpg) this offseason no doubt made L.A. a more attractive destination for the 6-foot-11 center. In order to facilitate a deal, a third team (possibly the Cleveland Cavaliers) may need to get involved.
Description: The latest trade scenario being discussed has Orlando center Dwight Howard going to the Nets as part of a four-team deal that would also involve the Cavaliers.
Insight: Brooklyn, Cleveland and Orlando are still trying to figure out who that fourth team might be. The deal would also include Sundiata Gaines, Kris Humphries, Damion James, Brook Lopez, Jason and Quentin Richardson, Luke Walton and Shelden Williams.
Description: Forward Gustavo Ayon appears to be headed to the Orlando Magic as part of a sign and trade deal that will send forward Ryan Anderson to the Hornets.
Insight: Ayon (5.9 ppg, 4.9 rpg) had his moments for New Orleans last season but it's still unclear what his role will be in Orlando, especially if the Magic end up gaining five or six new players as the result of a Dwight Howard trade later this offseason.

Insight: Nelson averaged 11.9 points on a career-low 42.7 FG percentage last season. It's difficult to imagine his fantasy value changing much next season, especially with Dwight Howard potentially leaving town via trade.

Insight: Howard made the trade request during a meeting with new GM Rob Hennigan on Friday and has even suggested that he might take legal action against the Magic if they don't deal him or allow him to opt out of his contract. If Deron Williams and Howard team up in Brooklyn next season it could be Lob City version 2.0.

Insight: Houston wants to acquire two top-ten picks and ship those to the Magic in exchange for the All-Star center. Point guard Kyle Lowry (14.3 ppg, 6.6 apg) could be traded in order to accomplish this.
