Insight: The only good news here is that after Tuesday's game the Pelicans have off until Sunday giving him time to heal if it's only a sprained ankle. We await news of the x-rays. Norris Cole should jump into the starting role and should have decent fantasy value.

Recently when Holiday did try to increase his basketball activities, though, he said the pain began to return. Insight: It has been nearly a month since Ajinca scored at least 16 points. He is an interesting candidate to add if Davis misses more time, but owners should continue to wait and see if Ajinca can repeat this performance.
Ryan Anderson, F2/22/2015 3:30:00 PM
Description: Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson will miss two-to-four weeks after an MRI revealed an MCL sprain.

Description: Pelicans G/F Tyreke Evans recorded a double-double on Friday versus the Magic.
Insight: Evans led the Pelicans with 14 points and 10 assists. He also had eight rebounds, so despite the 4-of-13 shooting, fantasy owners were quite pleased with his numbers. Evans should continue to produce solid numbers without Jrue Holiday in the lineup.
Ryan Anderson, FCold2/20/2015 6:40:00 PM
Description: Despite listed as doubtful, Pelicans power forward Ryan Anderson will try to play Friday. UPDATE: Anderson will play on Friday.
Insight: Anderson has a strained ligament in his shooting elbow, so this is bad news. Even if he plays, Anderson will be limited, so fantasy owners should probably consider benching him regardless of whether he plays.

Cole only averaged 7.0 ppg, 2.41 rpg, 3.4 apg in 23 starts for the Heat, but should see more time and production in New Orleans, starting Saturday, Jimmer Fredette should get extra time tonight.
Ryan Anderson, FCold2/20/2015 2:49:00 PM
Description: Pelicans backup power forward Ryan Anderson has been downgraded to doubtful for Friday's game against Orlando after apparently having a setback on his sore right elbow during the morning shootaround.

Description: Guard Norris Cole was traded from Miami to New Orleans and could get significant playing time at the point.

Anthony Davis, PF2/11/2015 9:24:00 AM
Description: Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis practiced in a limited fashion on Tuesday and is still questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Pacers according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Insight: Coach Monty Williams said Davis is still a bit sore, but he has improved since sitting out Monday's game. This is actually good news considering the fall Davis took last weekend. Check back before Wednesday's game for updates.

Description: Pelicans backup power forward Ryan Anderson will miss Wednesday's game due to an elbow issue.
Insight: Anderson averages 14.9 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 1.0 apg. Strangely, he's averaging more off the bench than as a starter this season which is contrary to his career numbers. If Anthony davis also sits, Alexis Ajinca and Dante Cunningham would see extended minutes.

Description: Pelicans guard Eric Gordon continues to be very productive without Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis in the lineup.
Insight: Gordon scored a team-high 31 points on Monday, hitting an incredible 7-of-8 3-pointers. Obviously, Gordon isn't going to repeat those numbers from behind the arc, but he has fantasy value as long as Davis and Holiday are sidelined.

Description: Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis left Saturday's game with a right shoulder sprain after falling hard on a dunk and has been downgraded to out for Monday's game against Utah.

Insight: Evans went for 22 points, 16 assists, 10 rebounds, three 3-pointers, one steal, and one block. This is a good time to sell high on Evans, as his value will go down once Jrue Holiday returns.
Anthony Davis, PF2/6/2015 10:50:00 PM
Description: Pelicans star power forward Anthony Davis hit the game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer Friday versus Oklahoma City.
Insight: The game went back and forth and Davis was absurd, as he went 15-of-23 from the field and 10-of-10 from the line for 41 points, 10 boards, three assists, and two blocks. Davis continues to be the top fantasy option.

He took fewer shots than he did on Saturday when he scored a game-high 28 points, but he still shot well, going 7-of-11 on his way to 20 points. He also had seven assists, three rebounds and a block. Gordon will continue to be a borderline must-start with Jrue Holiday out.

Description: Pelicans star power forward Anthony Davis should be ready to go Monday night versus Atlanta, according to John Reid of the Times-Picayune/NOLA.com.

Tyreke Evans, G/F1/30/2015 10:41:00 PM
Description: Pelicans G/F Tyreke Evans had 11 points in Friday's victory.

Eric Gordon, G1/30/2015 10:36:00 PM
Description: Pelicans guard Eric Gordon scored a game-high 28 points as New Orleans defeated the Los Angeles Clippers, 108-103, on Friday.
Insight: Again without Anthony Davis, Gordon shined. He was 10-of-20 from the field, making 5-for-7 from the 3-point line. He also had seven assists, two rebounds and a steal. If Davis stays out of the lineup for an extended period of time, Gordon should get some serious looks in standard leagues.
