NFL Preseason Preview - Cleveland (2-1) at Chicago (2-1)
By John McMullen, NFL Editor
(Sports Network) - The Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns will wrap up the 2013 preseason when they square off at Soldier Field.
In the Bears last preseason effort at Oakland, the club's first-team offense scored on five-of-six possessions (three touchdowns and two field goals) to total 27 points in one half of play.
The Bears starters on defense created two turnovers, held the Raiders to four first downs, including 0-for-6 on third downs, while allowing just three points in the opening 30 minutes of the contest.
Jay Cutler threw for a touchdown and 142 yards on 12-of-21 efficiency, while Matt Forte racked up 76 yards on six carries with a touchdown catch. Michael Bush added two rushing scores in the victory.
The Browns, meanwhile, were on the losing end of a 27-6 loss to Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts.
Brandon Weeden completed just 12-of-25 passes for 105 yards while Jason Campbell went 8-for-14 for 112 yards for the Browns, who were penalized nine times in the contest. Trent Richardson rushed seven times for 31 yards.
The Browns were held scoreless and limited to just 104 total yards in the first half.
Cleveland has won 17 of the 28 preseason contests with the Bears since the two storied franchises first met in 1950.
