Sessions' fantasy value in Minnesota

Ramon Sessions was a pleasant surprise in 2008-09.
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Reports out of Minnesota are that the Timberwolves have made a four-year, $16 million offer to Milwaukee guard Ramon Sessions, one which the Milwaukee Bucks are unlikely to match.

Sessions was a pleasant surprise in 2008-09, continuing what he had started over the final 17 games of the previous season by posting 12.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg and 5.7 apg.

He was not in the top-100 average draft position (ADP) when the season began, but finished the year 20th in assists-per-game despite sharing time at point guard with Luke Ridnour.

Sessions started the season well, slowed after guard Michael Redd returned to the court on November 29th and then after another injury to Redd on January 24th ended Redd's season, Sessions started slashing to the hoop and helped pick up the scoring slack again.

In Minnesota, where the team drafted two rookie point guards (although only one seems likely to show up for camp) Sessions might be a stop-gap, two-year experiment. He and Syracuse guard Jonny Flynn will share time, until around 2011 when Ricky Rubio (the other point guard drafted this June) will finally arrive in town.

I would expect that Session could post at least the same sort of numbers he did in 2008 as the "Wolves" have some decent inside players, but are weak on the perimeter.
