Named the 2012 Big East Defensive Player of the Year after blocking a league-best 2.9 blocks per game during his sophomore season...Started all 30 games he played in during the 2012 season at center for Syracuse and the Orange went 29-1 with him in the lineup...Anchored the 2-3 zone with phenomenal shot blocking and contesting abilities...Averaged 7.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, in 2012...Has very good size and length which makes his offensive jump hook very difficult to block...Plays around the rim on the offensive end...Lack of offensive skill set will prevent him from being a go-to-guy or dangerous scoring threat...Does not have great hands and is a poor rebounder for his size...Made strides from his freshman to sophomore season and has an undeniable upside...Has very raw talent and basketball IQ at this point...Has character issues that will concern some general managers...Expected to be a long-term project for whichever club selects him.
