Description: The Detroit Free Press reports Brown (right hand) missed practice on Thursday morning and appeared to have a cast on his right hand.

Description: Aaron Wilson of National Football Post reports, via Twitter, that Brown is expected to sign with the Lions after visiting on Monday.
Insight: Brown would not necessarily be an upgrade for the Lions at strong safety, but he may be what they have to settle for as their starter at that spot. (SportsBuff.com)

4/27/2010 11:07:00 PM
Description: Free agent safety C.C. Brown visited with the Bengals on Tuesday.
Insight: If the Bengals sign Hamlin, he would be a much better choice for Cincinnati. Brown was regularly torched in coverage last year. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: Alex Marvez of Fox Sports.com reports the Giants have extended a free agent tender to Brown of $1.226 million.
Insight: Brown struggled in coverage in 2009, leading to a November benching. If Kenny Phillips is able to return to health next season, he will likely go back to the bench. (SportsBuff.com)

9/3/2009 2:38:00 PM
Description: Brown is currently challenging for the strong safety position on the Giants.
Insight: He'll have to overtake Kenny Philips or Michael Johnson to win the position, but should be an okay IDP prospect if he does. (SportsBuff.com)

Out9/29/2008 10:57:00 PM
Description: It was reported initially that Brown might play with a cast on his fractured forearm, but he'll spend the rest of the season on injured reserve following Monday surgery, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Insight: Various reports have mentioned rookie Dominque Barber, Nick Ferguson and Brandon Harrison as fill-ins. Harrison carries the most intrigue, but none should be viewed as a fantasy option before he proves himself. Ferguson is the only one with starting experience, having spent two years as a full-time starter in Denver. (SportsBuff.com)
