Description: Colts RB Dominic Rhodes (hip) will play against the Jets. SOURCE: TERRE HAUTE TRIBUNE-STAR
Insight: Rhodes says he's been held out of practice for "precautionary" reasons. Since Rhodes was re-signed, the Colts have averaged 149 rushing yards a game. He is sure to be a lower-level playoff pick.

Description: Despite missing practice Wednesday and Thursday with a hip injury, Rhodes has said that he will play against the Jets this weekend.
Insight: Rhodes led the Colts in carries of the final two weeks of the season, but Joseph Addai still seems like the better fantasy bet. (

Description: Rhodes reached a two-year deal with the Bills on Friday.
Insight: With Marshawn Lynch suspended for the first three games and Fred Jackson skipping workouts in search of a new contract, the Bills were expected to add a free agent. Rhodes had a very productive 2008 with the Colts and could beat out Jackson for the season-opening starter role if the latter takes too long to join the team. (

Description: The Colts aren't likely to play any starters much today, and Dominic Rhodes has already been ruled out. Although he's not a starter when Joseph Addai is healthy, Rhodes is a key player on offense and has been more effective than Addai for most of this season. (

Description: Rhodes had 14 carries for 27 yards on Thursday against Jacksonville. He also caught six passes for 62 yards and a touchdown.
Insight: Rhodes got the start in place of Joseph Addai and even though he struggled running the ball, he was a consistent threat in the passing game. (

Description: As expected, Joseph Addai is inactive today, leaving Dominic Rhodes to start in his place and be a strong fantasy option. (
12/12/2008 11:21:00 PM
Description: Joseph Addai missed practice this week and is listed as questionable for Sunday. It appears likely that he'll miss the game, leaving Rhodes to start in his place.
Insight: If he does start, Rhodes is a good fantasy option against the horrid Detroit defense. (

Description: Rhodes had a ho-hum rushing night on Monday, taking 17 carries for 70 yards. He caught a whopping eight passes, however, to lead everyone in the game and thrill PPR owners. It was his second straight start in place of Joseph Addai.
Insight: Rhodes has caught a pretty impressive 19 passes in his limited time on the field this year, which bodes well for his continued fantasy value as long as Addai is out. (

Description: Rhodes carried 25 times for 73 yards and a touchdown, mostly in relief of Joseph Addai. The starter left early with a hamstring injury.
Insight: If Addai is to miss any time, Rhodes should be added in pretty much all leagues, especially with a matchup against the lackluster Green Bay run defense upcoming. (
