Description: A warrant has been issued for Chad Johnson's arrest. SOURCE: TMZ.com
Insight: Supposedly Johnson missed a meeting with his probation officer and now he could be facing jail time. We're guessing Ochocinco has played his final game in the NFL.

9/13/2012 1:05:00 PM
Description: Free agent wide receiver Chad Johnson was formally charged with domestic battery Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The domestic incident occurred at Johnson's home over a month ago.
Insight: Johnson, who was cut by the Miami Dolphins last month, could face up to a year in prison if found guilty. He probably won't attract interest from any NFL teams until his legal issues are resolved.

8/12/2012 9:05:00 PM
Description: According to NFL reporter Jay Glazer, the Dolphins have released Chad Johnson following his domestic violence arrest.
Insight: Johnson allegedly headbutted his wife Saturday night after a dispute. The receiver may have punched his ticket out of the NFL, considering the difficulty veteran Plaxico Burress has had finding a job. It will be tough sledding for whoever wins the Dolphins' QB job, since Davone Bess, Legedu Naanee and Brian Hartline figure to be the team's top receiving targets.

8/12/2012 11:12:00 AM
Description: Miami receiver Chad Johnson was arrested on domestic battery charges Saturday night following an argument with his wife.
Insight: Johnson was already skating on thin ice with head coach Joe Philbin because of some of the comments he made in the Dolphins' introductory press conference last week. Saturday's incident certainly won't help his standing with the team and it's very possible that management could go ahead and cut him following this latest transgression.

7/23/2012 7:38:00 PM
Description: The wide receiver formerly known as Chad Ochocinco has officially changed his name back to Chad Johnson.
Insight: Johnson (15 catches, 276 yards, one TD for the Patriots in 2011) averaged only 673.5 receiving yards per season under the Ochocinco moniker compared to 1,195 yards per season before the name change.

6/20/2012 12:15:00 PM
Description: According to head coach Joe Philbin, "We teach our offense in nine segments, and he (Chad Ochocinco) missed seven of them, and that's 78 percent that he missed, so he's behind a little bit."
Insight: Sound familiar? If Ochocinco is dedicated and learns the Dolphins offense there is certainly a chance that he can contribute in 2012, but is appears that he hasn't gotten off to a very good start. Stay tuned.

6/11/2012 9:12:00 PM
Description: Wide receiver Chad Ochocinco agreed to a one-year deal with the Dolphins on Monday.
Insight: Ochocinco had a poor season for the Patriots last year but maybe he'll fare better now that he's back in the city he grew up in. The Dolphins don't have much wide receiving depth so he's sure to have a much bigger role in Miami's offense than he did last year playing in New England.

6/10/2012 1:20:00 PM
Description: Free agent wide receiver Chad Ochocinco will work out for the Dolphins next week.
Insight: There won't be nearly as much competition for targets in Miami as there was in New England, so that's a plus. Still, Ochocinco is coming off a horrible season (15 catches, 276 yards, one TD) and you wonder if he still has the skillset to be an elite fantasy wide receiver. We should know whether or not Miami is a realistic destination for Ochocinco soon, so stay tuned.

6/8/2012 5:44:00 PM
Description: Wide receiver Chad Ochocinco didn't have the "football I.Q." to succeed with New England, the Boston Globe reports, citing multiple sources.
Insight: Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe wrote, "The Patriots would literally tell him to run a route a certain way, and a minute later he would run it the other way. It happened all the time." Perhaps New England should have realized how Ochocinco was before they acquired him to play in its precision- and timing-based offense. This is better news than if it was deemed that he just couldn't play anymore, because at least now he may be able to catch on with a team that can put up with his freelancing ways on the football field.

6/7/2012 5:00:00 PM
Description: Chad Ochocinco has been released by the Patriots.
Insight: Ochocinco had almost no impact on the fantasy scene in 2011 (15 catches, 276 yards, one touchdown) and his fantasy prospects going forward don't look very promising regardless of what team he ends up signing with.

3/25/2012 6:57:00 PM
Description: Chad Ochocinco has restructured his contract with the Patriots.
Insight: It seems like Ochocinco is committed to learning New England's offense. If he learns the plays, Bill Belichick will likely give Ochocinco more opportunities to play next season. That doesn't necessarily mean he'll be able to help your fantasy team though. Ochocinco will be competing for targets with Wes Welker, Brandon Lloyd, Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, Deion Branch and Anthony Gonzalez next season.

3/23/2012 8:21:00 PM
Description: ESPN's Adam Schefter says Chad Ochocinco will return to the Patriots next season. SOURCE: ESPN Boston
Insight: Ochocinco was a colossal fantasy bust in 2011, hauling in just 15 passes for 276 yards. Schefter says Ochocinco plans on thoroughly studying the Patriots' playbook during the offseason but even if he does that, it's still debatable how much of a role he'll play in 2012. Right now, New England already has 10 receivers under contract, so the competition for playing time will be fierce.

11/8/2011 3:11:00 PM
Description: The Boston Globe's Greg Bedard confirms that Chad Ochocinco is "not going anywhere" following the release of Albert Haynesworth on Tuesday. Source: Greg Bedard via Twitter
Insight: He and Tom Brady got into on Sunday, and played in just 18 of the offensive snaps for the Pats. There's no upside here for fantasy purposes, so continue to leave him on the wire.

7/28/2011 5:41:00 PM
Description: WR Chad Ochocinco has been traded to the New England Patriots for a sixth-round and seventh-round pick, according to a report on Local12 TV in Cincinnati. SOURCE: CBS SPORTS
Insight: WR Chad Ochocinco has been traded to the New England Patriots for a sixth-round and seventh-round pick, according to a report on Local12 TV in Cincinnati. SOURCE: CBS SPORTS This does a number of things in the fantasy world. First off, it basically assures A.J. Green of a starting role in Cincinnati this season. It also helps the fantasy value of Jordan Shipley and Jerome Simpson. For the Patriots, Brandon Tate's value takes a hit and his projections will be adjusted accordingly. Secondly, it really opens things up for Wes Welker over the middle to the point he might be a 100-catch guy again this year.

Description: According to a team source, the Falcons will not pursue Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco after he's released. SOURCE: FOX SPORTS
Insight: Ocho wants to be reunited with former Bengals OC Bob Bratkowski, who is now Atlanta's QBs coach, but it "aint happenin." After trading up to the top-10 for Julio Jones, the Falcons have no need for a distraction.

4/27/2011 11:31:00 AM
Description: Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco tweeted Tuesday that his "time is up" in Cincinnati. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: "Marvin Lewis hurt my feelings." Aww poor baby. Lewis has showed no qualms about letting everyone know his feelings about Ocho's attitude since the season ended. It now all depends on what owner Mike Brown decides to do.

4/17/2011 9:33:00 AM
Description: Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco Tweeted SI.com's Peter King asking where he would be playing in 2011, to which King responded "New England. My advice: Get a place in the South End." SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: Unlike Carson Palmer, the Bengals will do all they can to dump Ocho as soon as possible. Bill Belichick has always had a soft spot for Ocho, so he might be had cheap. The relationship between Ocho and Marvin Lewis is beyond repair.

3/25/2011 10:38:00 AM
Description: According to SI.com's Peter King, Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco "might" end up as a Patriot in 2011. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: Marvin Lewis continued to lay a subtle bashing after hearing about Ocho's recent tryout for a professional soccer team, so there appears to be no middle ground for either. Bill Belichick has always had love for Ocho, but he would only take him for a discount. And knowing owner Mike Brown, his asking price would likely be too high.

3/16/2011 3:01:00 PM
Description: Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco tweeted Wednesday that he will play for Sporting Kansas City of Major League Soccer on March 22. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: It sounds more like Ocho will "try out" for the team and not be a definite member just because he says so. Like other players, Ocho is trying out new things while the players-vs.-owners war drags on.

3/9/2011 3:51:00 PM
Description: According to a "well-informed source," Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco has "lost his nerve and work ethic." SOURCE: CSN NEW ENGLAND
Insight: All of Ocho's stats went down from 2009 and his status as a Bengal is on very thin ice this offseason. After proclaiming that he loves all the teams in the AFC teams, minus the Bills, he is surely hoping his status is questionable as well. The Bengals won't get much for a guy who had an iffy attitude in 2010.
