Description: Quarterback Vince Young has decided to call it a career.
Insight: Young won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award in 2006 and appeared on the cover of Madden 08, but he never lived up to the hype. He made just three starts after the Titans cut him following the 2010 season and will finish with 8,964 passing yards, 46 touchdown passes, 51 interceptions, 1,458 rushing yards and 12 rushing scores in 60 games. Despite the pedestrian numbers, Young went 31-19 in his 50 career starts.

Description: The Browns have already cut quarterback Vince Young.
Insight: That leaves Cleveland with just four quarterbacks on its roster: Johnny Manziel, Brian Hoyer, Tyler Thigpen and Connor Shaw. Young hasn't played a snap since 2011 and at this point it would be surprising to ever see him play in the NFL again.

Insight: The team added him strictly for depth. Even if Young does make the team out of training camp, he's unlikely to see any snaps this season. The two-time Pro Bowler hasn't played in a game since 2011.

Description: The Packers have released QB Vince Young.
Insight: That makes B.J. Coleman the backup to Aaron Rodgers. It's possible the team will pick someone up, so we're not ready to tell you to handcuff Coleman to Rodgers.

Description: Packers QB Vince Young has outplayed Graham Harrell and should be the No. 2 guy behind Aaron Rodgers, according to Pete Dougherty of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
Insight: With Aaron Rodgers ahead of him on the depth chart, we wouldn't expect Young to see much playing time in 2013, but Young appears to be the correct handcuff for fantasy owners.

Insight: With Aaron Rodgers ahead of him on the depth chart, we wouldn't expect Young to see much playing time in 2013. We wouldn't worry about him in fantasy.

Description: Free agent QB Vince Young is set to work out for the Cardinals on Tuesday.
Insight: Young was cut from Buffalo during the preseason. Young would likely serve as a backup for John Skelton until Kevin Kolb is healthy again. He won't have any fantasy value.

Description: Backup quarterback Vince Young was cut from the Bills on Monday.
Insight: Young became expendable after Buffalo acquired Tarvaris Jackson from the Seahawks on Sunday. In three preseason games Young struggled to an abysmal 48.2 quarterback rating. The former Titans star is a longshot to return to fantasy relevance any time soon.
5/11/2012 4:01:00 PM
Description: Vince Young has agreed to a one-year, $2-million deal to become a member of the Buffalo Bills.
Insight: Expect Young (60.8 QB rating in six games last season) to be a backup for starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. He could have some fantasy potential if Fiitzpatrick gets hurt or doesn't play well in the early part of the 2012 season.
5/1/2012 8:41:00 PM
Description: Free agent quarterback Vince Young is scheduled to work out for the Bills on Wednesday.
Insight: Young collected four TD passes while giving away nine interceptions in six games for the Eagles last season. If Young does sign with Buffalo, it's unlikely that he'll start, especially considering the amount of money the team has already invested in Ryan Fitzpatrick (signed a six-year, $59-million extension last season).

Description: The Tennessee Titans will waive QB Vince Young on Thursday. That's according to's Terry McCormick. SOURCE: CBS SPORTS
Insight: As's Ryan Wilson pointed out the other day, the Titans have to cut Young as soon as possible so they don't have to pay him his $4.25 million roster bonus. If/When Young is cut, rumor has him possibly going to Philly to back up Mike Vick once Kevin Kolb is traded.

Description: The Dolphins have reportedly "dismissed" the idea of bringing in QB Vince Young to compete with QB Chad Henne for the starting job. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: The Dolphins already have a headcase in Brandon Marshall. Bringing in another like Young would be suicide. Carson Palmer is still a very weak possibility. The Dolphins may have to look at a Donovan McNabb or another lower-tier option to compete with Henne. As of now, the starting job is still Henne's to lose.

Description: Two sources reveal that they would be "shocked" if Titans QB Vince Young lands with the Redskins. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: Young going to the Redskins was a rumor started earlier in the week and has blown up from there. While Young has much more talent than John Beck, we don't see Mike Shanahan wanting to deal with a headcase.

Description: The Titans have received some interest in QB Vince Young. SOURCE: NASHVILLE TENNESSEAN
Insight: GM Mike Reinfeldt said the team has "had some discussions. But nothing is imminent with him." Because he's due a $4.25 million roster bonus, teams will simply wait for the Titans to release him. No one is going to bring in a headcase with that much due before the season.

Description: Despite Jeff Fisher's sudden departure as the Titans' head coach, the team is still planning on trading or releasing QB Vince Young. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: This leads us to believe that Fisher leaving was more than just Bud Adams' early devotion to Young after the regular season. Adams has turned into a meddlesome owner recently, especially regarding the quarterback spot, so Fisher may have said "enough is enough." We find it difficult thinking that the Titans would get anything for Young, considering his lack of a work ethic and that his babyish attitude is known around the league.

Description: The Vikings may turn to the draft for a quarterback instead of going after someone like Titans QB Vince Young. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: The Vikings were linked to Young as soon as Titans owner Bud Adams announced he had given up on Young and was keeping HC Jeff Fisher. This rumor grew even stronger after Minnesota hired former Titans RBs coach Craig Johnson to coach their quarterbacks. If there is no new CBA by the time the draft rolls around, the Vikings may not have any other choice than to draft a quarterback. Trades and free agency can't begin until a new CBA is worked out.

Description: Current Titans QB Vince Young is setting his sights on landing a starting job this offseason. SOURCE: ASSOCIATED PRESS
Insight: Young considers himself "an elite quarterback in the NFL," which is far from the truth. He could be an elite quarterback if he wanted to, but his childishness off the field and in the locker room will make all quarterback-needy teams skiddish if he is eventually released, which we expect. The Vikings and Arizona are two teams linked to Young, but Arizona already dealt with another diva quarterback from the same draft class in Matt Leinart. The Vikings, as of now, appear to be the front runners after hiring former Titans RBs coach Craig Johnson to coach their quarterbacks.
1/20/2011 11:01:00 AM
Description: Young told ESPN's Marcellus Wiley on Wednesday that he believes he's an elite NFL quarterback.
Insight: That's the same tune Young has been singing all along, but his work ethic is about to make him an "elite" free agent. Young is sure to land somewhere else before long, though, and has plenty of time left to capitalize on a new opportunity. (
1/9/2011 1:07:00 PM
Description: While on ESPN's Sunday Morning Countdown, Chris Mortensen said he believes the Vikings are the best fit for Vince Young.
Insight: Young may be a knucklehead, but he hasn't lost the talent that made him a top-10 draft pick. Although, we aren't sure why the Vikings would have any interest considering Young's recent problems as a Titan. We think the Vikings will pass, especially if Josh McDaniels signs on as the new offensive coordinator.
1/6/2011 4:01:00 PM
Description: The Titans have reportedly decided to end their relationship with Young and trade or release him this off-season.
Insight: Coach Jeff Fisher apparently gave owner Bud Adams a mandate, and Fisher is who we'd keep as well. Young has a $4.25 million roster bonus due March 10, so the decision should be made early. He can still present value for a new team and will be just 28 at the start of the season. (
