Description: According to beat reporter Madelyn Burke, the Clippers have waived Stephen Jackson.
Insight: The team needed a roster spot to sign a guard with Chris Paul out for six weeks. Jackson averaged 12 minutes, 1.7 points and 1.1 rebounds in nine games with Los Angeles.

12/9/2013 7:28:00 PM
Description: According to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times, Clippers coach Doc Rivers confirmed the team has agreed to a deal with Stephen Jackson. Jackson will join the team Tuesday.
Insight: Jackson played 55 games for the Spurs last season but averaged 19.5 minutes and 6.2 points per game. He's unlikely to have any fantasy value with Los Angeles.

4/12/2013 5:35:00 PM
Description: The Spurs have waived veteran guard Stephen Jackson, according to Art Garcia of FOX Sports Southwest.
Insight: Jackson has been dealing with ankle injuries on-and-off all season. The timing is interesting since the Spurs are dealing with injuries to Manu Ginobili and Boris Diaw.

3/1/2013 2:25:00 PM
Description: San Antonio small forward Stephen Jackson (sprained ankle) is doubtful for Friday's game against Sacramento.
Insight: Jackson hurt his ankle Wednesday, the same ankle he sprained back on Jan. 3 when he tripped over a courtside waitress. He's only playing 16 mpg in February anyway and has no fantasy value, but Kawhi Leonard does tend to get more minutes when Jackson is out of action.

Description: San Antonio small forward Stephen Jackson had an MRI on his sprained ankle Thursday afternoon and is doubtful for Friday's game. SOURCE: Jeff McDonald, San Antonio Express-News
Insight: Jackson hurt his ankle Wednesday, the same ankle he sprained back on Jan. 3 when he tripped over a courtside waitress serving New York mayor Mike Bloomberg. He's only playing 16 mpg in February anyway and has no fantasy value, but Kawhi Leonard does tend to get more minutes when Jackson is out of action.

2/27/2013 10:08:00 PM
Description: San Antonio small forward Stephen Jackson sprained his right ankle Wednesday against Phoenix.
Insight: Jackson (three points and three rebounds in eight minutes) will be out for the rest of tonight's game. Kawhi Leonard (12 points in 22 minutes) should see a heavy workload the rest of the way.

2/18/2013 12:48:00 PM
Description: Spurs guard/forward Stephen Jackson is questionable for Tuesday's game against Sacramento.
Insight: Jackson dealing with personal reasons. Starter Kawhi Leonard has come on strong in February (15.5 ppg, 7.2 rpg) and is a much better fantasy option anyway.

2/11/2013 7:47:00 PM
Description: Spurs forward Stephen Jackson won't suit up Monday night against the Bulls.
Insight: Jackson is out for personal reasons. Kawhi Leonard (9.9 ppg, 5.4 rpg) should see a heavier workload than usual with Jackson unavailable.

1/7/2013 12:05:00 PM
Description: San Antonio small forward Stephen Jackson (sprained right ankle) is questionable for Monday's game against New Orleans. He'll be a game-time decision.
Insight: Jackson (6.9 ppg, 3.6 rpg) is only playing 22 mpg anyway so coach Gregg Popovich will likely just divide his minutes between starting small forward Kawhi Leonard, guard Gary Neal and swingman Danny Green.

Description: San Antonio small forward Stephen Jackson (sprained ankle) will sit out Saturday against Philadelphia. SOURCE: Mike Monroe, San Antonio Express-News
Insight: Jackson tripped over a waitress at courtside and sprained his ankle Friday against the Knicks. He doesn't have an official timetable but probably won't miss more than a few games. Jackson was only playing 22 mpg anyway so coach Gregg Popovich will likely just divide his minutes between starting small forward Kawhi Leonard, guard Gary Neal and swingman Danny Green.

1/4/2013 5:18:00 PM
Description: San Antonio small forward Stephen Jackson suffered a sprained ankle when he tripped over a waitress at courtside taking the order of New York mayor Michael Bloomberg during Thursday's game.
Insight: Jackson took a 3-pointer from the corner and backed up on the follow-through into the waitress. After the game, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said it was too early to assess how long Jackson might be out, according to the San Antonio Express-News.

1/3/2013 8:38:00 PM
Description: San Antonio small forward Stephen Jackson went to the locker room after injuring his ankle early on in Thursday's game against the Knicks.
Insight: He only made it through three minutes before getting hurt. We'd expect Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green to see an uptick in minutes if Jackson is unable to return.

11/19/2012 8:15:00 PM
Description: Spurs SG/SF Stephen Jackson is out 4-6 weeks with a non-displaced fracture of his right pinky finger. Jackson suffered the injury Monday night versus the Clippers. SOURCE: Jeff McDonald, San Antonio Express-News
Insight: Starting small forward Kawhi Leonard is also out with tendinitis in his quad/knee so the Spurs' depth will be tested. We should see Danny Green's minutes continue to rise as he takes time at both shooting guard and small forward.

Description: Spurs SG/SF Stephen Jackson said he's starting at SF Saturday in place of injured starter Kawhi Leonard. SOURCE: Jeff McDonald, San Antonio Express-News
Insight: Leonard will miss 10-14 days with tendinitis in his quad/knee, so Jackson should be able to get a few starts under his belt.

11/13/2012 1:52:00 PM
Description: Spurs SG/SF Stephen Jackson is probable for Tuesday's game against the LA Lakers with a stomach virus.
Insight: It's been going around the Spurs roster. Jackson missed Friday's game but played on Saturday, scoring 13 points in 31 minuters. Tim Duncan and Tony Parker are also felling ill.

Cold3/18/2012 9:55:00 AM
Description: Stephen Jackson played his first game as a member of the San Antonio Spurs and was on the court for just 17 minutes, scoring five points.
Insight: If this is an indication of future production then Jackson will quickly drop from fantasy relevance. It might not be until next season, after coach Gregg Popovich has a chance to work with Jackson, that he will become relevant again.

3/16/2012 4:18:00 PM
Description: Stephen Jackson was traded again Thursday, this time to the Spurs in exchange for Richard Jefferson and a first-round pick.
Insight: Jackson was on Golden State for less than 48 hours before becoming a member of the Spurs. Jackson will take over for Richard Jefferson as San Antonio's starting small forward. He'll get you some fantasy points, but not until he's healthy: Jackson is still sidelined with a hamstring injury. We'll let you know when he's ready to play again.

3/14/2012 11:57:00 AM
Description: In the first major deal before Thursday's trade deadline, Stephen Jackson finds himself back in Golden State, where he played from 2007 to 2009.
Insight: Jackson can still score and with Monta Ellis gone and Seth Curry's ankle in rough shape, Jackson could be an intriguing fantasy play. But first, Jackson will have to come back from a nagging injury of his own (he's been out since February 19th with a hurt hamstring). There's speculation that Jackson could be on the move again before tomorrow's trade deadline so we won't know what Jackson's official status is until at least tomorrow.

4/4/2011 12:26:00 PM
Description: Stephen Jackson will not play on Tuesday and he is not expecting to play on Wednesday against the Cavs. SOURCE: Bobcats.com
Insight: He should not be on the vast majority of rosters. It's one thing to stash a guy that can help you later, but it's another to stash a guy that might only play in three or less games. On the other hand, there are a ton of games on Tuesday and Wednesday, so there is likely a scenario that would allow some owners to wait it out without putting a dent in their games played. Call us crazy, but Matt Carroll's explosion puts him on the radar for deep leagues needing points and threes.
