Brooklyn Nets (28-20) at Detroit Pistons (18-31), 7:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Brooklyn Nets won't have long to put Tuesday's tough home loss to the Los Angeles Lakers behind them as they head to Detroit to take on the Pistons Wednesday night.

The Nets got blown out by 15 in the second quarter against L.A., but carried the lead in the fourth quarter. Kobe Bryant and Earl Clark of all people, took the game over with less than three minutes to go. The Lakers finished the game on a 10-0 spurt.

The Nets fell to the Lakers 92-83 for their fourth loss in their last six games.

"I'm not encouraged by anything I saw tonight," said Nets interim coach P.J. Carlesimo.

Carlesimo must not have been looking at Brook Lopez. The newest Eastern Conference All Star dropped 30 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked three shots.

Deron Williams and Joe Johnson were the only other Nets in double figures.

Brooklyn only shot 35 percent from the field and 26 percent from the 3-point line. The Nets committed 17 turnovers and the Lakers converted those miscues into 20 points.

The Pistons have dropped two in a row, four of five and six of their last eight. They fell in New York to the Knicks, 99-85, on Monday night, but it was the first game for newly-acquired point guard Jose Calderon.

Due to visa issues, Calderon missed his first few games as a Pistons player, but scored 15 points in almost 27 minutes as a starter in the loss to the Knicks.

"They've got to get used to me and I've got to get used to them," Calderon said. "It's going to be just time working together, practicing, games, whatever it takes."

Calderon started in the backcourt with Brandon Knight and his first game as a starting two guard was not one to remember. Knight shot 2-for-10 for five points.

Greg Monroe had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The Nets won this season's only matchup with Detroit, a 107-105 double- overtime thriller in Brooklyn on Dec. 14. The Nets have lost 10 straight in Detroit and 15 of their last 17 at The Palace.
