Pasadena, CA (Sports Network) - Kevin Prince ran for a career-high 163 yards and Derrick Coleman ran for 80 yards and three touchdowns as the UCLA Bruins rolled over the California Golden Bears 31-14 in a Pac-12 game at the Rose Bowl.
Prince picked up his yards on 19 carries, and he was also 9-of-18 through the air for 92 yards for the Bruins (4-4, 3-2 Pac-12). Nelson Rosario caught five balls for 56 yards.
Zach Maynard completed just 14-of-30 through the air for California (4-4, 1-4) and was intercepted four times. Isi Sofele rushed for 74 yards and one touchdown on 10 carries, while Keenan Allen caught seven balls for 83 yards.
The Golden Bears grabbed a 7-0 lead on Sofele's one-yard run with 6:20 left in the first quarter.
Johnathan Franklin's 11-yard run with 6:37 to go until halftime lifted UCLA into a 7-7 tie. Tyler Gonzalez put the Bruins in front with a 32-yard field goal with 3:18 remaining in the half.
Coleman's two-yard run at the 1:56 mark gave UCLA a 10-point lead at 17-7 heading into halftime.
Cal drew closer 1:55 into the third quarter on C.J. Anderson's one-yard run.
Coleman scored his second touchdown on a 20-yard run to make it a 24-14 game with 12:45 left in the fourth quarter, then added his third on a 24-yard burst up the middle with 4:53 left in the game
UCLA's Dietrich Riley was suffered an apparent neck injury while making a tackle in the fourth quarter. He was immobilized and taken off the field on a cart.
