Las Cruces, NM (Sports Network) - Quarterback Cody Fajardo rushed for four touchdowns to lead the Nevada Wolf Pack to a 48-34 victory over the New Mexico State Aggies in Western Athletic Conference action at Aggie Memorial Stadium.

Fajardo finished with 60 yards on the ground and also threw for 283 yards for Nevada (5-3, 3-0 WAC). Lampford Mark led the way with 185 yards and added one touchdown on the ground for the Wolf Pack.

Matt Christian threw for 432 yards and three touchdowns for NMSU (3-5, 1-3). The quarterback also added a touchdown on the ground, but was intercepted three times in the loss and also sacked five times. Taveon Rogers had a big game, hauling in seven passes for 203 yards and two scores.

The Aggies hit the scoreboard first with a 30-yard touchdown pass from Christian to Rogers. However, the extra point was no good, leaving the score at 6-0.

The Wolf Pack took over later in the quarter when Stefphon Jefferson broke free for a 26-yard touchdown run.

New Mexico State went back on top early in the second stanza when Kenny Turner scored on a two-yard run.

The back-and-forth continued later in the quarter when Fajardo found the end zone on a six-yard run for Nevada.

Christian threw his second touchdown of the game later in the frame as he connected with Rogers once again, this time for a 16-yard score. However, just like their previous hook up the extra point was unsuccessful.

Nevada regained the lead with a one-yard touchdown plunge by Fajardo, but the team's attempt at a two-point conversion was no good, keeping Nevada's lead at 20-19.

Less than two minutes later the Aggies went back ahead with a 14-yard touchdown run by Christian. The quarterback then connected with Turner for a two-point conversion, giving the Aggies a 27-20 lead at the break.

The Wolf Pack evened the score early in the third stanza thanks to Fajardo's third score, this one coming on a six-yard run.

Fajardo continued to terrorize NMSU, as the signal caller scored on the ground once again, this time he found the end zone on an eight-yard run, giving the Wolf Pack a 34-27 edge.

Less than a minute in the final frame the Wolf Pack extended their lead when Mark broke free for an 80-yard touchdown scamper.

The Aggies would not go quietly though, as Christian hit Todd Lee with a 36- yard scoring strike.

However, Nevada responded seconds later with a three-yard touchdown run by Jefferson, and that would be enough for the Wolf Pack to hold on for their fourth straight win.
