Later in the frame Manuel hit wideout Kenny Shaw with a 26-yard TD strike to
make the score 14-0 heading into the second frame.
FSU kicker Dustin Hopkins knocked through a 23-yard field goal at the 2:35

the scoreboard thanks to a 23-yard field goal by Nick Ferrara.
Up by two touchdowns, Florida State added to its lead when Jermaine Thomas
raced 35 yards to the end zone midway through the third quarter.
On the next Maryland possession O'Brien, who himself was sacked two times,
capped a six-play, 80-yard drive with a five-yard TD run to make the score
24-10 in favor of the 'Noles.
FSU opened the fourth quarter with three scoring drives, the first being a 24-

Freeman, followed by a one-yard TD run by Debrale Smiley to give the Seminoles
a huge 41-10 advantage with under a minute to play.
The final gasp from the Terps resulted in a 15-yard TD pass from O'Brien to
Marcus Leak, but with a failed PAT the visitors were still saddled with an
awkward 25-point loss.
Florida State, which entered the week ranked 10th in the ACC and 100th in the
