NCAA Game Summary - Utah State at Louisiana Tech

Ruston, LA (Sports Network) - Lennon Creer rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs to a 24-6 victory over the Utah State Aggies in Western Athletic Conference play at Joe Aillet Stadium.

Ross Jenkins threw for 149 yards and one touchdown for Louisiana Tech (2-4, 1-1 WAC), while Tim Molton added 93 rushing yards in the win. Molton was also on the receiving end of Jenkins' TD pass, finishing the game with 34 yards on three receptions.

It was a rough day for Utah State's offense, as the team tallied just 195 total yards. Diondre Borel threw for 73 yards for Utah State (2-4, 0-2), while Derrvin Speights led the team with 48 rushing yards.

The Bulldogs were the first to light the scoreboard, as Jenkins hit Molton with an 11-yard scoring strike.

Midway through the second stanza Louisiana Tech extended its lead with a two- yard touchdown run by Creer.

A 40-yard field goal by Peter Caldwell broke the ice for Utah State, but the Bulldogs took a 17-3 advantage into the break thanks to a 38-yard kick by Matt Nelson in the final seconds of the second stanza.

Caldwell added a 22-yard chip shot late in the third quarter to cut Utah State's deficit to 17-6.

However, the Bulldogs put this game out of reach late in the final frame when Creer found the end zone on a 10-yard run.
