However, as time expired in the opening quarter, Browning hit Je'Ron Hamm with a 48-yard scoring strike.

Olen drilled a 45-yard field goal for North Texas to cut the team's deficit to 35-30, but the Warhawks responded on their next drive with a 53-yard touchdown pass and catch from Browning to Ambrose.

However, the Mean Green continued to fight and seconds later Dodge found Darius Carey for a 41-yard touchdown pass.
