NCAA Game Summary - Central Michigan at Northern Illinois

DeKalb, IL (Sports Network) - Chad Spann rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries as the Northern Illinois Huskies defeated the Central Michigan Chippewas, 33-7, in a Mid-American Conference tussle at Huskie Stadium.

Chandler Harnish completed 12-of-19 pass attempts for 139 yards in the win for Northern Illinois (6-2, 4-0 MAC), and he also added 69 yards on the ground.

Central Michigan (2-6, 1-4) was led by receiver Cody Wilson's 11 receptions for 115 yards. Quarterback Ryan Radcliff threw for 178 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in the loss.

Northern Illinois put up the only points in the first quarter with a 25-yard field goal from Michael Cklamovski.

The Chippewas struck early in the second quarter when Radcliff found Kito Poblah for an 11-yard touchdown pass for a 7-3 lead.

Northern Illinois took a 9-7 advantage into the intermission after Cklamovski connected on two field goals from 21 and 24 yards out, respectively.

The second half belonged to the Huskies, as Spann scored twice in the third quarter. The first touchdown came on a 13-yard run, while the second score was from 12 yards out.

Spann found paydirt early in the fourth quarter, rushing from two yards out to put the Huskies up 30-7.

Cklamovski connected on his third field goal of the day, this time from 19 yards, as Northern Illinois cruised to the 33-7 win.
