NCAA Game Summary - Arkansas State at Navy

Annapolis, MD (Sports Network) - Ricky Dobbs rushed for 154 yards and three
touchdowns to lead the Navy Midshipmen to a 35-19 victory over the Arkansas
State Red Wolves in a non-league affair at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
Dobbs also threw for 164 yards and one touchdown for Navy (8-3), while
Alexander Teich added 86 yards on 12 carries in the victory.
Ryan Aplin led the way for Arkansas State (4-7), throwing for 178 yards and
one touchdown, but he was also intercepted once and sacked three times.
John Howell's 12-yard touchdown run early in the first quarter gave Navy a 7-0
lead.
Less than two minutes later the Midshipmen extended their lead to 14-0 with a
one-yard touchdown plunge by Dobbs.
Arkansas State used a 31-yard field goal by Brian Davis early in the second
stanza to get on the scoreboard.
On Navy's very next play, the Midshipmen pushed their lead to 21-3 when Dobbs
connected with Greg Jones for an 80-yard touchdown pass.
The Red Wolves wasted little time finding the end zone after Navy's touchdown,
as Aplin scrambled for a seven-yard score.
Davis added a 20-yard field goal as time expired in the first half, sending
the Red Wolves into the break on the wrong end of a 21-13 score.
After a scoreless third frame, the Midshipmen jump ahead by 15 points thanks
to a one-yard run by Dobbs.
Arkansas State continued to fight, as the Red Wolves cut their deficit to
28-19 when Aplin connected with Allen Muse for a five-yard score.
However, the Midshipmen pulled away late in the game when Dobbs found the end
zone on a three-yard run.
