(Friday, November 27th)

Final Score: (6) Boise State 44, Nevada 33

Boise, ID (Sports Network) - Kellen Moore threw for five touchdowns as sixth- ranked Boise State kept alive its hopes for a BCS bowl berth with a 44-33 victory over Nevada, on a night the Broncos clinched a share of the Western Athletic Conference title for a second straight year and for the seventh time in eight years.

Titus Young returned the game's opening kickoff 95 yards for Boise State. Moore completed 17-of-33 passes for 262 yards, while Dan Paul had three TD receptions for the Broncos (12-0, 7-0 WAC), who entered the game ranked sixth in the BCS, behind Florida, Alabama, Texas, TCU and Cincinnati.

"Any time you can finish a game and say that you're WAC Champs, you're feeling pretty good," said Moore. "We're taking care of business and that's exciting."

Doug Martin had 128 rushing yards for Boise State, which is a remarkable 62-2 at home since the start of the decade, The Broncos finish their season next Saturday by hosting New Mexico State.

Colin Kaepernick connected on 12-of-22 throws for 141 yards with three TDs for Nevada (8-4, 7-1), which concluded its season by having an eight-game winning streak broken. Vai Taua rushed for 160 yards and a score in defeat.

"I'm getting tired of falling behind and jumping back," said Nevada coach Chris Ault. "That's disappointing. It really is because you can't fall behind to Boise State like we do and consistently expect to stay close. They're too good of a football team. When it happens as fast as it did to us, you wonder when you're going to gather yourself and stop it."

Taua's 71-yard TD run brought the Wolf Pack within 34-26 with nearly 2 1/2 minutes left in the third quarter, but his fumble early in the fourth set up Kyle Brotzman's 27-yard field goal.

Moore found his brother, Kirby, for a six-yard scoring pass with nearly five minutes left to essentially seal the victory for the Broncos.

Kaepernick's 23-yard scoring toss to Tray Session accounted for the final margin.

Moore's 18-yard TD pass to Paul made it 13-0 nearly six minutes into the game, and a three-yard connection from the same pair accounted for a 20-0 bulge later in the first.

Richard Drake connected on a 26-yard field goal 1 1/2 minutes into the second before Moore's one-yard TD toss to Paul moved the difference to 27-3 five minutes into the quarter.

Kaepernick hit Virgil Green with a six-yard scoring pass with 3:38 left in the second, but the extra point try was missed. Nevada trimmed the margin to 27-16 at the half thanks to Kaepernick's three-yard toss to Brandon Wimberly with three seconds left.

Drake split the uprights from 37 yards away early in the third, but Moore found Tommy Gallarda for a 21-yard TD later in the period for a 34-19 lead.
