With 6:32 left in the second quarter, the Chippewas pushed their advantage to 14-0 with a one-yard touchdown run by LeFevour.

After Miami-Ohio cut its deficit to 14-3 with a 20-yard field goal by Ian McGarvey with 1:38 left in the first half, Central Michigan got the ball back and took full advantage. LeFevour and Antonio Brown hooked up for an 82-yard pitch and catch, and the Chippewas led 21-3 at intermission. Brown caught 11 passes for 170 yards in the tilt.

In the third quarter, the Central Michigan lead reached 35-3, thanks to a pair of touchdown passes from LeFevour to David Blackburn. The first covered three yards, and the second was an 11-yard connection.

LeFevour surpassed Byron Leftwich's MACC career passing record, and he currently sits at an even 12,000 yards.
