Pullman, WA (Sports Network) - Kevin Prince threw for 314 yards and a touchdown to lead the UCLA Bruins in a 43-7 rout over the Washington State Cougars in a Pac-10 Conference bout at Martin Stadium.

Prince completed 27-of-40 pass attempts to pace UCLA (5-5, 2-5 Pac-10) in the win, and the signal-caller added 76 yards on the ground on just five carries. Taylor Embree caught six passes for 73 yards and a score for the Bruins, while Nelson Rosario grabbed three balls for 69 yards.

Kevin Lopina led the way for Washington State (1-9, 0-7) in the loss, throwing for 102 yards and a touchdown. Jeffrey Solomon caught two passes for 54 yards and a score.

The Bruins struck first, jumping out to an early 7-0 lead following a 27-yard toss from Prince to Embree.

A two-yard Chane Moline run late in the opening period of play gave UCLA a 14-0 lead.

The Bruins made it 21-0 early in the second quarter following a 68-yard run by Prince, and also added a blocked punt for a safety just minutes later to extend the advantage to 23-0. Kai Forbath added a 38-yard kick as time expired in the half to give UCLA a commanding 26-0 lead going into the break.

Forbath added a 31-yard field goal early in the third period to extend the UCLA lead.

The Cougars finally got on the board late in the frame following a 46-yard pass from Lopina to Solomon.

But the Bruins added runs of seven and 16 yards by Moline in the final period of play as they rolled to the 43-7 win.
