Lexington, KY (Sports Network) - John Conner scored once on the ground and
also caught a touchdown pass for Kentucky, as the Wildcats dismantled the UL-
Monroe Warhawks, 36-13, in a non-league affair at Commonwealth Stadium.
Conner finished with 46 rushing yards for Kentucky (4-3), and caught two
passes for 26 yards. Randall Cobb added 41 rushing yards and one score in the
win, while also hauling in four passes for 27 yards. Will Fidler threw a
touchdown pass in the contest, but finished with just 82 yards on 8-of-13
Cody Wells threw for 267 yards and one touchdown for ULM (4-3), but the signal
caller also tossed three interceptions and was sacked once. Frank Goodin led
the ground game for the Warhawks, rushing for 55 yards and one touchdown.
The Wildcats exploded for a 14-0 lead in the first quarter of action, as
Conner scored on a one-yard run, and that was followed by a 73-yard punt
return by Cobb.

However, the Warhawks finally got on the scoreboard with just under five
minutes remaining in the first half, as Wells hit Luther Ambrose with a 10-
yard scoring strike.
Kentucky responded less than two minutes later when Fidler connected with
Conner for a 25-yard scoring strike.
With just a few seconds remaining in the third frame Goodin rumbled into the
end zone on a three-yard run, but the extra point was block, leaving ULM down
by a 28-13 margin.
Early in the fourth frame Kentucky's defense added points on the scoreboard
when the unit recorded a safety.
The defense continued to light up the scoreboard when Randall Burden returned
an interception 50 yards to pay dirt, extending Kentucky's lead to 36-13.
Kentucky overcame three turnovers in the win, and finished the game with 330
total yards of production.
