Report: Ohio State QB Miller to miss season

( - Ohio State senior quarterback Braxton Miller will reportedly miss the season with a right shoulder injury, according to ESPN.

Miller, a Heisman Trophy contender, was hurt during Monday's practice. ESPN reported Miller had an MRI on his throwing shoulder Tuesday morning, revealing the severity of the injury.

The two-time defending Big Ten offensive player of the year, Miller threw for 2,094 yards, 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions and added 1,068 yards and 12 scores on the ground last season.

Miller, who had offseason on the same shoulder, suffered the injury while throwing a routine pass.

Ohio State is ranked fifth in the preseason AP Poll.
