Buffalo, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Antoine Mason scored 21 points as the Niagara Purple Eagles took down the Davidson Wildcats, 83-72, in a non- conference tilt at the First Niagara Center.

Mason connected on 12-of-15 shots from the free-throw line and also tied for a team-high with six rebounds for Niagara (3-8). Marvin Jordan added 17 points and four assists, Tahjere McCall chipped in 16 points and Ramone Snowden finished with 12 points before fouling out. The Purple Eagles have won back- to-back games after a seven-game losing streak.

Tom Droney dropped in 17 points and Jake Belford tallied 13 off the bench before fouling out for Davidson (4-6), which had a three-game winning streak snapped.

In the first half Davidson scored 12 points off of nine turnovers to make up for a lackluster 36.4 percent shooting effort and claim a 34-31 lead at the break. Niagara hit on 44 percent of its tries from the floor in the frame but forced only three turnovers.

After the break Mason erupted for 19 points as the Purple Eagles stormed back and pulled away by netting 52 percent from the field. The Wildcats could not keep up, shooting a miserable 35.7 percent from the floor in the period.

Davidson lost despite holding advantages in scoring off turnovers (18-14) and in the paint (28-22).
