NCAA Game Summary - Cornell at Yale

New Haven, CT (Sports Network) - Shonn Miller scored 18 points and came a rebound shy of a double-double as the Cornell Big Red earned a 68-61 win over the Yale Bulldogs in Ivy League action at John J. Lee Amphitheater.

Johnathan Gray added 18 points and Errick Peck dropped in 12 for Cornell (12-12, 4-3 Ivy League) which had lost two of its previous three games.

No starter scored in double figures for Yale (9-15, 3-4) which got 13 points off the bench from Justin Sears and 10 from Sam Martin. The Bulldogs had a brief two-game winning streak snapped in the loss.

Cornell held a 30-27 lead at halftime after shooting 44 percent from the field while holding Yale to 33.3 percent. The Bulldogs stayed in range by outscoring the Big Red 12-3 from beyond the arc in the first 20 minutes.

Gray scored 14 of his points in the second half as Cornell shot 46.2 percent from the floor and knocked down six triples to secure the victory.

The two teams were even in points from beyond the arc (21-21) while Cornell had a slim 15-12 edge from the free-throw line. The Bulldogs missed 14 shots from the charity stripe in the seven-point decision.
