Eskimos fire Reed

Edmonton, AB ( - The Edmonton Eskimos have fired head coach Kavis Reed after a 4-14 season.

Reed went 22-32 during his three-year stint as coach of the Eskimos.

"We thank Kavis for his dedication and hard work over the past three seasons and wish him the best in the future," Eskimos general manager Ed Hervey said.

Reed led the Eskimos to the 2011 West Final, but the team's win total dropped from 11 to seven in his sophomore campaign. However, the Eskimos still reached the playoffs, losing to Toronto in an East semifinal.
