Greenville, SC (Sports Network) - Anthony Stitt scored 15 points and handed out five assists as the College of Charleston Cougars cruised to a 74-50 win over the Furman Paladins in Southern Conference play at Timmons Arena.

Also scoring in double figures for the Cougars (22-9, 14-4 SoCon), as they won their second in a row and the fourth in the last five outings, were Trent Wiedeman with 13 and nine boards off the bench, followed by Andrew Lawrence and Nori Johnson with 10 points apiece. Willis Hall came up a point shy of a double-double with a game-high 15 boards.

Furman (6-23, 3-15), losers of 10 straight, was paced by Colin Reddick who tallied a game-high 16 points on 6-of-17 shooting from the floor, followed by Larry Wideman with 12 points. Stephen Croone and Bobby Austin pitched in with 10 points each.

Both teams had a hard time finding the basket in the first half, with Charleston shooting only 31.0 percent from the floor and the Paladins 35.7 percent, allowing the hosts to claim a 27-23 advantage at the break.

In the second half the Cougars came alive with a staggering 67.9 percent accuracy from the field, including 6-of-11 beyond the arc, in order to secure the 24-point win.

Furman finished the day shooting only 31.0 percent from the field and 4-of-16 on the perimeter.

Charleston finished the regular season second in the South Division of the SoCon, while the Paladins held down the last spot in the division.
