 Las  Vegas, NV (Sports Network) - Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. was released from
 jail  early Friday morning after serving two months of a 90-day sentence for a
 domestic violence conviction.
 
 Mayweather  entered  Clark County Detention Center  on June 1 and was released
 early  for  good behavior. He pleaded  guilty to one count of battery-domestic
 violence  and no contest  to two counts of harassment, striking a plea deal to
 avoid  felony  charges that could  have brought a prison  sentence of up to 34
 years if convicted.
 
 After being released Friday, Mayweather tweeted a picture of himself as a free
 man and thanked his supporters.
 
 "Thanks  for all  the support  and God  Bless to  everyone who  wrote me,"  he
 tweeted.
 
 Mayweather's  former  girlfriend, Josie Harris,  claimed on September 9, 2010,
 that the boxer beat her and threatened her and their children.
 
 The  35-year-old  champ initially  had his prison  reporting date pushed back,
 allowing  him to  fight Miguel Cotto on  May 5. He won a unanimous decision at
 the MGM Grand to improve to 42-0.
