Lincoln, NE (Sports Network) - Dylan Talley and Roy Gallegos each scored 14 points to lead the Nebraska Cornhuskers to a win over the Tulane Green Wave, 61-57, at Devaney Sports Center.

Gallegos knocked down two clutch free throws with three seconds left to seal the victory for the Cornhuskers (4-0). Brandon Ubel and Andre Almeida also scored in double figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Josh Davis led Tulane (3-2) with 19 points and 13 boards. Jordan Callahan scored 16 but shot just 1-of-4 from the foul line. The Green Wave finished with just five assists as a team and one bench point.

The Cornhuskers led 33-28 after the opening 20 minutes thanks to a 7-of-10 showing from beyond the arc. Tulane kept it close by outscoring Nebraska on second chance points, 9-0.

Tulane battled back to take a lead early in the second half. After eight lead changes, Nebraska took a 59-57 lead with 1:45 remaining on an Almeida dunk. Callahan was then fouled shooting a 3-pointer but missed all three free throw attempts. After a Nebraska turnover, Callahan had another chance to be a hero but his jumper was blocked with seven seconds remaining.

Both teams had 13 turnovers while Tulane lost despite a 33-26 edge in rebounds.
