NCAA Game Summary - Oakland at North Dakota State (Saturday, January 12) Final Score: North Dakota State 73, Oakland 65 Fargo, ND (Sports Network) - Led by 20 points from TrayVonn Wright, the North Dakota State Bison took down the Oakland Golden Grizzlies, 73-65, in Summit League play at Bison Sports Arena. For the Bison (15-3, 6-0 Summit), Lawrence Alexander added 19 points and eight rebounds but committed nine turnovers, while Marshall Bjorklund scored 15 points on 7-of-7 shooting from the field, and Taylor Braun chipped in with 11 points. Ryan Bass led the Golden Grizzlies (7-12, 2-3) with 22 points, while Travis Bader finished with 21 points, Duke Mondy posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 assists, and Corey Petros pulled down 11 rebounds. NDSU opened the game on an 11-2 run to take the early lead. Oakland moved to within two, 20-18, with under eight to play in the half, but the Bison closed with a 20-10 run to take a 40-28 lead at the break. The Bison shot a scorching 68.2 percent from the field, including 9-of-14 from beyond the 3-point arc. After the break NDSU continued to shoot the ball well, connecting on 52.4 percent from the field, but the Bison did struggle at the free-throw line, making only 11-of-21 free-throw attempts. Oakland shot 43.3 percent from the field in the second half and drained 7-of-16 from 3-point distance. The Golden Grizzlies cut the deficit to four midway through the half but would get no closer, as the Bison remained undefeated in conference play.
