Quick, Kings take 2-0 series lead

Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Alec Martinez scored the game-winner in the first period and Jonathan Quick turned away 36 shots to lead the Los Angeles Kings in a 3-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks in Game 2 of this Western Conference semifinal series from Honda Center.

Marian Gaborik, the Game 1 hero, scored the first goal of the game, while Dwight King added an empty-netter to seal the victory as the Kings now hold a 2-0 lead in this best-of-seven series.

Patrick Maroon scored the only goal of the game for the Ducks, who had won all three of their home games in a six-game victory against Dallas in the opening round. Jonas Hiller gave up two goals on 16 shots in the loss.

This series now shifts to Los Angeles as the Kings will look to take a stranglehold when Game 3 takes place on Thursday night.
