Description: Hornets forward Ryan Anderson kicked in five threes as part of a 23-point game Sunday against the Cavs.
Insight: Anderson has scored 20 or more points in five of the last seven but he had eight points apiece in the other two.

3/15/2013 9:45:00 PM
Description: Apparently Ryan Anderson's shot was sick too because he only made 1-of-10 from 3-point range Friday against the Wizards. He finished with 13 points in 35.5 minutes.
Insight: Anderson played through an illness so we'll give him a pass. Three-point percentage doesn't count in most fantasy leagues anyway.

3/15/2013 6:35:00 PM
Description: New Orleans power forward Ryan Anderson (illness) missed Tuesday's game but he's active for Friday's contest, according to team reporter Jennifer Hale.
Insight: Anderson is a viable fantasy option averaging 16.7 ppg, 6.5 rpg and 2.8 threes per contest. He doesn't need to be 100 percent to knock down shots from downtown.

3/15/2013 12:04:00 PM
Description: New Orleans power forward Ryan Anderson (illness) missed Tuesday's game and Friday's shootaround, but intends to play, according to Hornets' courtside reporter Jennifer Hale.
Insight: Anderson is a viable fantasy option averaging 16.7 ppg, 6.5 rpg and 2.8 threes per contest.

3/12/2013 4:15:00 PM
Description: New Orleans power forward Ryan Anderson (illness) is doubtful for Tuesday's game, according to Hornets courtside reporter Jennifer Hale.
Insight: Anderson once again has been one of the most prolific 3-point shooters in the NBA, making an average of 2.8 on 7.1 shots per game. His absence will open up more minutes for Anthony Davis in the thin New Orleans frontcourt.

2/11/2013 10:27:00 PM
Description: New Orleans power forward Ryan Anderson knocked down 13-of-21 shots for 31 points Monday in a win against Detroit.
Insight: Anderson (16.8 ppg, 6.4 rpg) was 5-of-9 from downtown. He'll have a chance to show off his shooting prowess this weekend in Houston at the Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout. Anderson, a 40.2 percent shooter from long range this season, finished fourth at the event last year in Orlando.

1/31/2013 10:21:00 AM
Description: Hornets forward Ryan Anderson is only averaging 14.9 ppg on 40.1 percent shooting over his last 22 games.
Insight: Anderson produced 19 ppg during that stretch, mainly because he played more minutes and made more threes. Anderson attempted 8.3 threes per game over that stretch and made 3.5 (.424); he has made 2.5 of 7.0 (.364) over his last 22.

Hot1/21/2013 3:52:00 PM
Description: Hornets forward Ryan Anderson put together an excellent afternoon on Monday against Sacramento, scoring 27 points with six rebounds and a couple of assists.
Insight: Anderson (10-of-22 shooting) took advantage of additional playing time after Anthony Davis went down with a left ankle injury. If Davis is out for a while, Anderson should thrive.

Cold12/20/2012 11:57:00 AM
Description: Hornets forward Ryan Anderson has gone cold from behind the arc his last two games, making just 4-of-22, including 0-of-8 Wednesday versus the Clippers.
Insight: Anderson's seven points Wednesday tied a season low. It was also the first game this season in which he failed to hit a 3-pointer. We aren't worried, the forward has plenty of games like Dec. 16 (26 points, 7-10 3PT) left in him.

12/11/2012 11:10:00 PM
Description: Hornets forward Ryan Anderson only shot 7-of-21 from the field (3-12 3PT) for 17 points with 11 rebounds Tuesday against the Wizards.
Insight: Anderson came in having made 50 percent of his field goal attempts and 47.9 percent of his 3-pointers while averaging 19.9 ppg in his previous 15 games so he was due for a cold spell.

Hot11/24/2012 9:12:00 AM
Description: Hornets forward Ryan Anderson piled on 34 points in a loss to Phoenix on Friday night.
Insight: Anderson's point total was a season-high. He also came down with 11 rebounds, giving Anderson his third double-double of the season. Anderson leads New Orleans in scoring this season with 17.9 ppg.

Hot11/22/2012 11:55:00 AM
Description: New Orleans power forward Ryan Anderson has made 22 3-pointers in 45 attempts over his last six games. He's averaging 18.7 ppg in that span.
Insight: It didn't seem possible, but Anderson has actually attempted, and made, more 3-pointers per game than last season.

11/10/2012 9:44:00 AM
Description: New Orleans power forward Ryan Anderson led the team in scoring Friday against Charlotte with 25 points off the bench.
Insight: An incredibly efficient performance from Anderson, who only played 28 minutes on Friday night. He's averaging 15.2 ppg and 8.2 rpg through five games. That's pretty close to the 16.1 ppg/7.7 rpg line he posted with the Magic in 2011-12 when he was a starter.

11/2/2012 10:37:00 PM
Description: Hornets forward Ryan Anderson came off the bench again Friday but had a much better game than the opener. Anderson dropped 19 points with six rebounds on the Utah Jazz.
Insight: In a performance reminiscent of last season, Anderson drained five 3-pointers on nine attempts. His ability to knock down the long-range shot should keep his fantasy value high even if he continues to come off the bench.

7/8/2012 4:38:00 PM
Description: According to ESPN.com, the Hornets will trade forward Ryan Anderson to the New Orleans Hornets. Anderson will sign a four-year deal with between $34-36 million.
Insight: Anderson showed what he could do playing alongside an elite center last season, as he averaged 16.1 points and 7.7 rebounds per game in 61 games. Anderson made 166 threes last season with Dwight Howard drawing defenders to the paint. The forward will now get to play with No. 1 overall pick Anthony Davis.

4/9/2012 2:03:00 PM
Description: Magic forward Ryan Anderson made it through the morning shootaround and should be ready to go on Monday night against Detroit.
Insight: With Howard out of the lineup, the Magic will need Anderson and Glen Davis to carry the load. Anderson is averaging 16.1 ppg and 7.5 rpg this season, a huge increase over his 2011 numbers and has been a nice fantasy surprise.

4/6/2012 3:48:00 PM
Description: Stan Van Gundy said Ryan Anderson (ankle) will miss Saturday's game against Philadelphia, according to Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel.
Insight: Glen Davis will get another start. Davis has been excellent as of late, joining the starting lineup in place of Dwight Howard and now Anderson. Davis will continue to be a solid play while he remains in the starting lineup.

4/5/2012 2:57:00 PM
Description: Ryan Anderson has been ruled out for Thursday night's game matchup with the Knicks. Anderson is still bothered by a sprained ankle he suffered earlier in the week.
Insight: It's your time to shine Glen Davis (career-high 31 points Tuesday night in Detroit). Take advantage, big fella.

4/3/2012 11:17:00 AM
Description: Ryan Anderson is out Tuesday with a sprained ankle.
Insight: Anderson has been a nice find in 2012, averaging 16.1 ppg and 7.5 rpg. His main asset is his ability to knock down the deep ball. He has attempted seven threes a game this season, averaging 2.9 makes. When he returns, the ankle injury shouldn't hinder his ability to make shots.

4/1/2012 9:12:00 PM
Description: Ryan Anderson sprained his ankle at the end of Orlando's 104-101 home loss Sunday night against Denver.
Insight: If Anderson is forced to miss time with this ankle injury, Glen Davis could start in Anderson's place. Davis had a good game (18 points, 16 rebounds) filling in for Dwight Howard (back injury) at center on Sunday, though Howard isn't expected to miss many more games.
